Still, nice for Ottawa to find the ability to find ways to win, even ugly games, and not find ways to lose which they did consistency between 2019 and 2023. Go REDBLACKS!

To interim coach JJ, why are you playing MBT as your QB for most of the game? He's delivered the Elks 6 losses so let's keep starting him hoping for a different result! What does it take to start Tre Ford and KEEP HIM IN FOR THE ENTIRE GAME? If coach JJ keeps making these Chris Jone-like decisions, he truly will be the interim coach with a new guy coming in next year. :(
New coach, same trend. Now Edmonton is losing because of missed field goals. Make 2 of those and you get OT, make them all and you win. Edmonton will eventually win games but it looks like it could easily be another 4 win season with no playoffs

Bede is AWFUL. He should be gone from the team. He's missed enough already. Elks can't miss those if they want to win. Defense was good, but offense couldn't do much and Bede missed quite a lot. Actually, if both Ward and Bede scored on all field goals that they kicked, score would've been tied at 22.
the missed field goals ... ya you can say it's the nasty wind but ottawa had to play with it and kicked all their fgs in ... so you really can't blame the wind can you? ... and not getting into the end zone and settling for fg is really hurting most teams this year if they really want to be successful
Due to the construction of the field, air movement is not consistent between the ends. This is why the commentators were talking about the "asymmetrical field" and how the wind is worse at one end. The one end which Edmonton's offense mostly kicked towards.
@@teo_heel, One end of the field has a condo complex off to the side. The other end, butts up against the Rideau Canal (Or River, I can't remember which). This creates a difference in wind movement, especially for gusts. That's why one successful FG by Bede was going wide, left, then got pushed to the right (directions based on Bede's facing) straightening it up momentary, before hooking to the right. However, neither kicker had a problem kicking in the other direction. Lewis Ward used his knowledge of the field, to correct his kicks after missing the first one.
Bede the Elks kicker, need to go and should be already! he lost no two game for them by PURPOSEFULLY missing three kicks tonight and giving away the game last week…he obviously wants to be elsewhere so send him there!
