WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE FILM?

  • @PiyushGalphat

The stupidest thing is that this movie is released with A certificate by the censor board. So the people under 18 couldn't watch it legally 🤦‍♂️

    • @KirkLazurus
      @KirkLazurus Рік тому +21

It's the Central Board of Film Certification & NOT a "censor" board. Maybe we should stop calling it censor board & maybe then the CBFC would stop being self righteous.
CBFC should just rate the movie and move on.

OMG2 - a GENIUS movie. It can’t get better for a commercial movie. I had same feeling when I had watched Sarfarosh (Aamir) earlier (and even Satya but Satya wasn’t typical commercial with stars etc.) One can’t have a great movie that is so well written, handles a very controversial topic, a difficult topic, socially difficult interactions in an entertaining and engaging manner that too with people drenched in BhaktiYog of Mahadev. Passes the message how Hinduism is embedded in our daily lives and how it guides us and how a good spirit and good buddhi ensures presence of Shiv (God) Tatva within us. Satya hi Shiv hai and Shiv is where Satya (the truth) is! Only the truth is real! And everything is real is Shiv! I felt so proud to be Hindu and had goosebumps of Bhakti of Shiv at so many instances in the movie. Presence of God within and around is felt in so many scenes in this movie!
Acting is simply beautiful..! Pankaj Tripathi is a genius! He is Paresh Rawal 2.0 and that’s not giving full justice to him as Paresh has drama theater influence which Pankaj doesn’t. Pankaj is more natural and grounded. Never trying hard, letting the camera do the work and trusting the camera to catch his drift and also trusting the audience to catch his drift! And the audience reciprocates!
Yamini is impressive! 100 out of 100 in this very tight rope walk movie. So many scenes you could have hated her character but you didn’t!
Akshay is brilliant!!! He is the charm and Midas touch the movie needs and uses well. He is the golden arm as they call in cricket! He is the catalyst that makes the movie glitter and reach to the audience it won’t reach otherwise! It is so great to see him back to his great networking which gets him scripts like Special26, BABY, Soldier is always on duty and many more. Hope this continues. His 7th Guru will certainly help till May2024.
    -------
For a change Bollywood refrains from brining Muslims or Christians angle - etc in this movie. There is no angle in this movie about any other religion. That’s refreshing. Else, Bollywood becomes highly apologetic whenever Hinduism is mentioned! Yes, the protests against Pankaj Tripathi - some cap folks (Muslims) are seen which could have been avoided! Also, rather it was good to see he getting a place to stay (after driven out) in the house where Babasaheb photo hangs to remind us of constitutional angle!
    ----
Walking out of the movie it have feel good. Most folks were smiling. The topic that could have been highly abrasive - didn’t ruin or hurt the movie.

There are a bunch of instances in the film that even indians will have a hard time understanding ,a bunch of inside jokes and mythological representation especially through Visual Storytelling... And CBfC did grave injustice to a film like this by all those 27 cuts / modification , it would have been ten times more impactful if the real voice was allowed to be expressed.

The sex worker's court scenes and dialogues are very very well done. Deep thoughts.
Overall its a very good message. Much valued film for current generation who know nothing about the depth of vedic culture. Ofcourse, I'm one of those who have received the British style of education and not Vedic, but im glad so many people will open they eyes and look back to their roots to the basic teaching of Hinduism, which is
"Purpose of Human life - Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha".
The film has got one clip wrong though. Kama does not mean literally sex. It means DESIRE. There is a difference.

Me and my friend watched this movie today in the UK. Most of the western cinemas have not shown this and even the Indian cinema only had afew showings which is disappointing. It's a very progressive movie with alot of important conversations. Even the sex education in the UK did not teaching about the emotional side and about healthy relationships. Ignorance leads to more problems and things we can regret. Really impressed with this movie I wish more people could see it.

These days you can book tickets online so the A rating is insignificant because no one checks at most multiplexes or even single screens. Teenagers can easily watch this movie and infact, should. Coming back to the movie, I think it is the best hindi film of this year so far. 🙂Pankaj Tripathi and Pawan Malhotra were brilliant in the movie while Akshay, Yami and the teenage actor who played the victim did a very good supporting job.

The Indian Censor Board should be ashamed for demanding so many cuts and giving this film an A Certificate.

It’s about time they were bought into the modern world. This is a topic that should be pushed to the fore with which will make people learn.

Also why was Akshay’s portrayal of Lord Shiva changed to messenger of God?

Has no one ever made religious films with actors playing deities before?

Akshay Kumar gave all due respect with his performance as Lord Shiva, exactly the same respect was given when portraying Lord Krishna in the first OMG. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Pankaj Tripati was mind blowing... Best Actor Winner at the National Film Awards 🤞🏽

Well Malayalam and Tamil cinema is the most intelligent industry .😊Bollywood is definitely learning from the South now how to make movies that you want to continue watching until the end. I think this is the first hindi movie recently that I wanted to continue watching until the end. The Gurukul system of studies is more into social studies and moral + to direct the pupil and educate them related to what he/she wants to become.

Doesn’t matter who you watch it for, it takes so much courage to make a movie on such sensitive topic. Pankaj Kapur was brilliant, a superstar like Akshay kumar producing this kind of film and also playing a supporting role should be commended
