  • This is an ASMR newspaper Reading video with lots of page turning and no talking throughout the video. There's writing sounds from a pencil and highlighter and I also use scissors to cut the paper.

OH MY GOD! I never knew these feelings were a thing with terminology and shit!
I thought I was batshit crazy when I felt tingles for watching other people draw in art class, or someone whispered to me; no matter what was said.
Hooray for the great and pleasurable, but mysterious and unknown, feelings of ASMR and it's entire community. ^______________________________^

Me too!!!!!! I just found out there was a name for this..literally like 2 hours ago....can't remember when I didn't experience these feeling...I'm 46 now....Papers, magazines, albums, fabric pattern books...if you were reading a newspaper on the train...I would always make sure to be close ....I didn't think anyone else got it either....no one around me did...and I never seem to notice anyone encouraging others to read the paper or look through a catalog the way I did...makeup, eyebrows waxed, haircuts also triggers, I am sure I have dozens., But for now I am so excited to find that there are others who have felt this. I have much to check out...! And this video is AWESOME! Thank you for being one of my "first' time videos LOL

Paper turning is the only thing that does it for me. I watched 3 other videos that didn't work. This is the only one that did. The writing doesn't trigger it for me, just the paper turning and smoothing down of the fold. Thanks for your efforts.

I am a doctor who developed a cancer. I have worked in oncology for years end it was quite an experience to be in the bed rather than sitting next to it. I was very fortunate that my cancer was found quite early and I have one of those unusual situations where I am not in remission but my cancer is actually cured. And I am most grateful.
Whilst in hospital, I truly suffered . And you, ASMR Angel , helped me so very much. I thank you for providing these videos and helping me relax and escape my immediates sensory experience of pain. I cannot express to you how much benefit I gained from this video, nor can I find the words to tell you how grateful I am. I can only say that "Angel" is most apropos.

Hi! Can I make a request that when cutting the paper with the scissors, in stead of making many small snips as you cut, if you could make some really slow, long ones? Like the kind where the blades close almost completely and then slowly slide open again? That would be super duper wonderful! 😊 the page turning and folding is delightful

This reminds me of my part-time job in college at the campus library's reference room. An associate I worked with spent her days cutting out newspaper clippings to be scanned into microfiche (remember those?) and the sounds consisted of her pen marking out the outlines and scissor cutting. Best minimum wage job evah!

Just discovered this asmr I've had since a small child. Page turning has always put me in a trance. Honestly I would go hang out at fabric shops just to hear that sound when people were shuffling through the pattern books....I cant believe I'm admitting that. HA! This is soooooo cool! I've had insomnia for a year now and this should help. Hair touching is also a trigger. I feel like a new person knowing all of this is pretty normal. THANK YOU for the video.

I was chatting to my best friends mam on Monday about the videos I makes and it turns out she has it too, she said she could sit for hours and listen to someone turning pages but she thought that it was just something weird that she had. I think there are so many people that have asmr and just don't realise it yet.
I hope you find some respite from your insomnia and enjoy all the amazing ASMR videos out there!

I have two requests.. one is looking things up in a book and then writing them down.. like I saw a pharmacist going through his book.. he would figure out the proper medication. Then search the persons weight and age for proper dosing. So it takes a few searches for each medication. Flipping back and forth thru pages.. then flattening out to write what you find... also directions!! Drawing a map to get from point a to point b. Like directions to a friend :) ok that is my first ever request to an asmr person... ty again for the vids

How funny that there is an ASMR video of someone turning newspaper pages so naturally. Long before any ASMR video appeared on youtube I always felt this scalp massage when I watched people reading newpapers in the train. And the massage was perfect if I was close enough to smell the paper. I never had a word for this feeling and thought it was weird. Feels good to know that this feeling has a name (ASMR) and I am not the only one to know it. nice Video thank you

I stumbled onto this channel, not realizing this is why certain sounds calm me. Having had a very traumatic childhood, I think this was my way of shutting out all the things in my life that were too much to handle. I love the sound of crinkling paper... so this was a great one for me. ❤

is this serious? Don't tell me people can't fold a newspaper their awn or that they have nothing more interesting than watching someone else fold a news paper for 25 minutes.

TheBlendMaster2.0 it's less about folding newspapers and more about the sound

ASMR Angel the sound doesn't change anything. It is all psychological in my opinion.

This is amazing. I, like many, heard about ASMR recently on This American LIfe- The Tribe episode. I have never mentioned this to anyone but have had these rare instances of ASMR when someone is writing me a check or a note, driections on paper etc.. I could never say, "Please, could you keep writing that is AMAZING..." I loved this video because it introduced me to many new elements beyond writing with a pencil... Thank you so much for your effort!

Thank you for your lovely message Jack Welch I can totally relate to you when someone is doing something and you want them to continue it's not really appropriate to ask them not to stop. I hope you enjoy watching all the other content that is out there!

This is really great & thank you for doing this. Is your mic on the table? If so, you might want to attempt a mic on a stand near the sounds, that will help eliminate the 'booming' and bass sounds of setting stuff down and the writing. Thanks again for this!

Thanks for the great vid - this sent me straight to sleep whilst tingling away. It's so nice being able to finally talk about this sensation after so many years (now I know what it is), without feeling I'm a total freak. Thank god for the ASMR community.

The audio hits all the right frequencies, but the mike is not isolated from the table. The little booms created other than that, great job!
