GPU is required for AI processing. It has nothing to do with operating system.
BOSS and Maya (used by defence)... which is also used by Russia as Astra OS. And they use it for everything. That's why Russia was not Impacted during global outage created by Microsoft

It is another critical area which need very fast growth. I believe India has the capability to develop GPU as well, only constraint is funds and little time for development of RnD. AIM is far away but not impossible.

The next step is to get all computers in sensitive sites to have Bhartiye chips rather than imported chips as the imported chips may have implanted spyware that gets activated with critical words. This is an important security issue that most people in Bharat do not comprehend.

You guys are knowledge givers, teachers to the younger audience. Please refrain from falling into trap of sensationalism by posting titles as "US, China dekhte reh gaye", "India ne China ko pachhad diya" etc. etc.
You know it how advanced China is today. There is no way India can catch up where China is today even in next 15 years. And imagine where will China leapfrog in next 15 years. India will always have to play catching game.
Until and unless we make our people aware of the difference in developments of China and India, we will remain "Kuwe ka mendhak" (Frog in well) who doesn't know what's happening in outside world.

Why can we not develop our own computer chip. Where is the M ade in India. All this government is doing is Make in India. We are assembling foreign developed equipment in India.
Its a long hard tedius path which has patent IP rigjts strategic complications at one end and other is more tough race against time which is directly proportional to RnD amount. RnD in a country where only 2 5% people pay taxes + govt subaidies has never risen more than 2% ever in Scientic budget if we start today it will take decades to reach at level of A100s H100 tensor
