What’s crazy is that I love X voice so much, a lot of his songs pre his passing ranges from Good to all time favorite. A lot of tracks I don’t like comes from his post passing music. They ranges from unlistenable to Okayish. At best Good.

Its tough to say his songs was ass because he was very versatile...his songs where all over the place which showed how much he was trying to create something new... new concepts and sounds are tough to make the majority like them but thats the risk...if it pays off it becomes the new wave and u create somwthing long lasting so sometimes u hit sometimes u miss with certain songs but thats why i liked his music it took risks for progression...he was only 20 it wouldve been more to come ill never get to hear.. thats the ass part

Coming from Florida, when I first heard of him of Look at Me, I didn’t really want to get into him due to his sound, until I Don’t Wanna Do This Anymore came on and was interested in to his style. The crazy thing is that he’s very diverse of his music, he did boom bap (for ex: Infinity 888), Pop, emo, rage rap, and R&B. However, he does some duds here and there but he’s still my influence. RIP X and PNB.

I remember i was in 7th and 8th grade when i used to listen to all of his music. At the time I probably would’ve disagreed w the majority of this video, but when i go back and listen to most of his music i definitely felt underwhelmed by a lot of what i used to find listenable.

Lowkey, I do feel like X is kind of an overrated artist. I know that's a ridiculously hot take (for some reason), but even when he was alive, there are way too many songs X has post-2016 where they are SUPER underwritten and weakly structured. And when he does have song with plenty of lyrical contribution, it kind of comes off as too edgy or cliche for its own good. Good Rapper, but ARTIST? ehhhhhh... 🤷

The song has all styles of X from the Sad Songs about Depression and Heartbreak (SAD, Moonlight, Alone Part 3), The Screamo and Rage songs (Schizophrenia, Floor 555, Pain = Best Friend) and the Ignorant X where he's rapping basic stuff about hoes for fun ($$$ and Going Down)
Then out of NOWHERE there's a Latin Spanish dance song in there lmao. The album is called ? but every song falls into a particular category , whereas I Don't Even Speak Spanish LOL is the ONLY song he has in his catalog that sounds like this. For me this song is a very lame excuse to be "versatile' and had no reason being on the album.

I agree that hope is distasteful, when it first came out i liked it at first and i forgot that the was dedicated to that event but when i realized that it was, I lost interest. I felt like i dont let go's beat is good on its own but i think that there was a jaden smith one too, but i wanted more from "skins" and "?"

@@diavonteallen4059Hope is not distasteful, he really was trying to make a change and after he heard about the parkland shooting he visited one of the kids in the hospital that took bullets for the other kids and then he make school shooters (the one in bad vibes forever) but thought it was to negative and wanted to make a more positive song so he made hope and i personally think the name was super important for the track not because the track was bad but the name speaks for itself
As a latino, i do appreciate that X made a song like "i Don't even speak spanish lol" or atleast trying to make something like it and trying a different style, for me it just feels out of place on a "deep" vibes album lol
