- If you're planning a family vacation any time soon, here are some fun road trip activities for kids to help you survive the long hours! We took a 14-hour trip both ways to Destin Florida with our 4 year old and it was great! It did take a little bit of planning and preparing to help keep the crankiness, boredom, and meltdowns at bay. Having yummy snacks help as well, but this video is all about the fun activities. Let me know if you have any other tips that helped you on your road trips!

You're a well prepared mama! :D What a great trip! I love that stage of playing with cars. We had many years of that and happy to see L playing so well. Sweet memories you're making! Our kid never slept well in the car either which is bonkers to me because I conk out whereever/whenever. One thing we did in hotels during the toddler years was find any extra chairs or couch or even table in the room and put the back towards the kid bed so that was another barrier to prevent falls and put any extra pillows on the floor around the bed in case there was a rolling off fall. Excited for your goodwill haul vid!
Love the tips! I heard about the furniture one but was too lazy to do it. In one hotel, we did use a chair propped up along the side of the bed and it did feel a little bit more secure. I'm glad he's not a thrasher while sleeping. He cannot get enough of playing with cars....we have too many cars! I'm glad you're excited for the Goodwill haul next. That will wrap up the whole Florida series. It was fun to edit and share this. Thanks for watching! And yes...I'm usually over-prepared for everything.

He truly is for the most part. He's getting to that "test our limits" stage now, but in general, he's pretty good and we can't complain. I'm thankful he travels well and is up for adventure.

Joe, Lincoln, and I are so used to always being around one another almost all the time, so spending time together on the beach with sunshine was definitely just a bonus to our normal routine. Hi Julie! What a great video! My kids are 6 and 13 and we don't travel often, especially lately😄. I would usually bring things like you brought but also I'd bring some books to read to them( that was a favorite), crayons and paper, Highlights magazines that we could do together or on their own. Also, they always packed their little bookbags with a few of their favorite toys. I'm loving this series! Have a wonderful holiday weekend Yoon family! ❤️
