Yeah❤️
I'm glad you had a great time at the BIG show! Don Wilson, Tacoma, Washington 😊
The best!
Love a double header...2 videos in one day makes today extra special! We've been missing the lives.
awww thank you Ive missed you guys too
Oh wow, Saxon did a great job!
2 videos in 1 day! Thats a treat as rare as opal itself 😉 great tips as always, loved watching 🙏
More to come my friend
hi Justin. I think at 36.48 and 38.24 your stone with the craters has some beautiful blue at the base. So you may get a tiny opal out of it. I couldn't see how much though because you didn't focus on that part.
I like the perks on that job, (the ring). I saw a video with a large, clear quartz that looked like it was splashed with bright colors like an expanded opal. Just sections on one side, clear on the other. Amazing.
Hi Justin,
You can get a tool to square off your wheels again.
Also it’s best to use all of the surface from side to side which also helps from getting a curve in your wheel.
Yes correct
Great stuff. From the land down under... the land down under. Tasmania. Australia 🇦🇺
Glad your back safely
So l couldnt stay awake here in lreland and watched this with my breakfast instead....wish we could see more uploads Justin its so soothing and hypnotising to watch you birth such incredible stones. Ive watched every single vid and short you have...more than once! 🤗🤗🌈

I have missed you a lot but it's wonderful to meet you Justin and Tamika. I'm watching the video from Sweden and the clock is about 05.43 in the morning. Greetings to you all at BOD 👋❤️💎😍👍!
Thank you! You too Susan
@@blackopaldirect 👋❤👍
that cushion cab your son cut (1st one) is quite a distinguished gentlemanly ripper of a stone! have it on a bolo or a tie-clip, the next 2 rounds on cuff links, with the last set in a ring, that'd be quite the set!
✌️🐝➕
Good call!
One thing I know in life, there is always someone that is better than you. The sad thing is one will not give credit to the one they know that is TRULY THE BEST!!! BUT YOU ARE GOOD!!
Justin you should be proud of your son as he's doing great on picking out Opals , cutting and polishing them ! Thank you for sharing this with me ! Also thank you for 2 videos in one day which was awesome !
Thanks Steve and you are welcome
Nice work Saxton.
I was wondering if on one of your segments you could explain the rarity of an opal in relation to average size and carats of what one in reality would expect to see found and produced for jewelry. I think a lot of us don't understand the reality and the typical average sizes mined and produced for jewelry vers what we see on the tv shows and such.
Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge
Awesome video. I wish I knew the the part of opal you forgot!!!😊 I'm in Az, USA
Missed the live so watching at home in Beaconsfield vic 10.28 pm

The ultimate enemy, sand. Yes Arizona is dry. I have to get used to it.
How do you pick the pieces you're going to cut on your livestream? Are they by chance? Or do you pick them specifically for the show? They're finally notifying me of your videos. It was four hours too late, but it's the first time it's happened so I'm happy I'm finally getting them. Thank you Justin, love your videos.
I have a bag of pieces I pick from
Gold ops i love ruby's ❤❤
Playa, is that your wife? She's a beaut congratulations on a lovely family you're a lucky man to also have a son keeping the family opal tradition going
Jason is there any other jewel that has such a wide variety of colors as opals?
Reshape it to cushion cut and its sold in a mans ring to me! Thanks J.
Hello from Arizona
the last knobby on 36:20 was never gonna cut a proper gem was it?
is there ever a situation where you would leave a piece raw, as a "novelty stone" and not try so shape it at all?
Seems you need to let Saxon go through the bins more often!
Saxson. is cutting some cool stones. Thankyou, Justin.
Are you getting to the opal fields?
Hi from the Netherlands
Hi guys!
While I fully agree that you should be honest about whether an opal is a doublet or not, I'm not sure why you don't like them. At the end of the day the only thing that anyone would want an opal for is what it looks like. To me every type of opal is beautiful. By far the most stunning gemstone in the world.
I just don’t like to sell them as they eventually end up with someone that doesn’t know opal and they think they have a ripper gem only to find out it’s not.

Where are some stones Tamika has cut?
Im still looking for them but I think they are all ground away
Diamonds are definetly over rated for the creastal clear ones. I do love the ones with color but the clear ones are not that cool.
Opals hidden in the dirt for festival goers to dig in holy crap I want to go😮😢
It is fun

Hi from sunny Plant City, Florida. Home of The Strawberry Festival.
Great job Saxon!! Beautiful opal!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
This's my first time watching anything live. I am happy to be a part of this endeavor. ❤😊🎉
I had a good feeling that small stone would end up being a little RIPPAH! Cool patterns in it as well. My bet was cat's eye, but yeah, more so rolling flash. Thanks for sharing these with us.
I’d rather have opals than diamonds
Welcome back ! Missed you both. Hello Tamika 👋👋👋 Justin, I saw your interview with Lapadairy Dave. You looked like you were having a good time.
Thank you Justin for the lesson how some people will scam others by coloring the back of Opals ! I love learning stuff about Opals from you !
Glad it was helpful!
Tamika's smile can brighten the darkest of rooms.
Please show more about the jewlery making with your amazing opals

Saxon, the Opals you cut and polished are stunning!! Well done, young man!! Justin, the stones you cut are beautiful. I hope you show them all polished up soon!!! Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖
I wished I had known about this job because I would have perused it before I had MS
I seriously dont think "scam" is the right word. Everything in the world is buyer beware. New car could be a lemon, made Friday on a third shift by someone who knows he's getting fired.
If its pretty, and i pay for it, thats on me.
If i care about "pure" "original" black opal resale value, then i would be upset.
Who cares about beauty that an artist created out of material our Creator spent billions of years making for our benefit?
oh, yeah. question: i'd be curious as to your value after you finish the cut & polish on the crystal opal that you demonstrated a doublet, or unfortunately sometimes passed as a black (albeit faked or faux)? to be clear, after you finish the cut & polish, with not making a doublet or any backing, as a crystal opal, i'd like to see the final result of the stone & what value would you give it?
✌️🐝➕
Watching this for a second time lol.
And speaking of doublets, I do think they have a place, like inlays and such, as long as the seller is honest about it, or the buyer knows what they’re getting into.
But there is another guy here on UA-cam who is trying to convince people that the treated matrix he is cutting and polishing is black Opal. I won’t say who, as he will ruin his own reputation, I will not be a part of that. But when he was called out for it by someone else, he really defended his position claiming the GIA also calls it black Opal. I don’t know about that, but, in my eyes, just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should. It’s dishonest at best.
Not anything close in value, but same sort of concept. I polish a lot of granite and quartz for countertops (and few other stuff).when my stubborn old school ways finally got some new type equipment, i was floored at how well it worked out! They have come out with better polishing tools!
Yes please more posts of cutting...I find it so relaxing I'm struggling at the min health ways so am restricted to the house 🏠 but your vids make my day Angie in Scotland
Always love your videos makes me want to live there😮 but at 70 Im where my destination has led me. Your happiness is contagious so please keep up the knee knocking stress . Saxon you rock😅
Hi Justin and Tomicka, I see you doing your live shows on UA-cam the day after. I wanted to know how to join the the chat and what time do they happen. Thanks, Drew L.
I completely understand why you can't find enthusiasm for facetted stones, in that the finish is totally artificial and man-made. The same, of course, could be said for what you do, but you are simply taking it out of its surround and smoothing it off, to reveal its natural beauty; which other stones, unless facetted, do not have.
Speaking of fraud, if you polished up the crystal opal, then painted Vanta Black on the one side, would that further enhance the illusion of a black opal?
Moonstone, labadorite
There is no opal in europe. Shame!
Hello ! Just bought my 1st Opal from BOD last night!!
I'm Doris from Vancouver B.C. Canada
Agree opal is queen, but fire agate??? Have you seen imperial fire agate!!!
That one small crystal looks like there's confetti in it!
And with out the silica n sand from the great flood and the transition metals in blood u can't get the colors in opal or opal there's some opallized body parts out there to a heart and it had some beautiful colors on one side and some ok colors on the other but the side the blood pooled n looked the best its like wow amazing and there's been some eyes found thats opal the opal in an opal is an eyeball and the.ulur mound over there is a giant part of a heart muscle there's a couple other places there that are remnants of giant body parts
C’mon guys, let’s get moving and start polishing them nobble’s lol
And also have I spelt Tomicka correctly.
I like labradorite, its like larger cheaper opal, would be cool to see you work with some
Great session...and from Minnesota USA
Yeah, the picture is good!
