My favorite little nugget that was a premonition into Oliver’s lies was the scene with him and Felix tossing the rock into the river in “memory” of his “dead” Dad. The rock never went into the water which indicates that his Dad was never dead. So good 😭
Mine is Felix’s doppelgänger walking past the window at breakfast when the sister is telling the story about how when your doppelgänger appears then your time is running out. Or when Ollie bathes after the vampire scene his mouth goes under the water and he’s in almost the same position the sister was found in.
This and the sister overflowing her wine in the dining room after Felix’s death forshadowing her death in the bathtub with the blood overflowing everywhere too.
Barry is Irish playing a British man. Jacob is Australian playing a British man. And the actual British man, Archie (who plays Farleigh), is playing an American hahaha. I thought that little fun fact was funny
The Saltburn house is in my hometown in the UK, there's houses like that all over the countryside here. I used to go to a lot of them for work reasons, and some of them are genuinely so massive you can get lost in them. Spent plenty of my days wondering around houses exactly like that one and they're all so beautiful and breathtaking. Film was shot here too, obviously, and it really is a fantastic film.
Watch some of the behind the scenes Oliver was VERY in love with him. V E R Y He drank the bathwater to be closer to him. To ingest him. He only killed Felix once he realized the jig was up and there was no hope for them to be together. Pamela was killed by her abusive husband. Not Ollie. Pamela was living in Saltburn to hide from him. Once she left he found her and killed her. 😢 Ollie did not have intentions to kill everyone until it was happening. The tub scene and the grave scene were completely improvised by Barry. He’s amazing.
I still don't see that as love. It's more like obsession and wanting to absorve him and be him. It reminds me of stories of drinking the essence of someone (usually blood) to get their atributes.
"Where is Liverpool?" is hilarious, and the way Carey Mulligan says it with no shame is *chef's kiss*. That is the most perfect statement on Britain's geographical wealth divide, and on the absolute insanity of aristocratic affluence. These people aren't just rich, they live in their own world lol
So I read that an idea for the ending was for Ollie to sit at the breakfast table and be served the eggs cooked wrong again to symbolize that he maybe the new house owner, but he doesn’t belong there; he’s not one of them.
Wasn’t the thing in that scene that he asked for eggs cooked over easy, and didn’t know what that meant? Over easy is runny so technically the eggs were done right

In other words, if I went back and watched the movie a second time, I should be able to see hits to those twists that were not there, if that makes sense.
All that being said, after seeing it again, I really like it again, in spite of my issues with those twists thanks for Barry Keoghan playing one hell of an effed up villain (which is why I wanted to see it in the first place. He was great in "The Killing Of a Sacred Deer".) And the monologue by Venitia's character before she offs herself is pretty epic and very well acted!
I am obsessed with this movie. Every second
I wanna say that shirt kicks ass
I finally watched it and i was shook
The bathtub and the vampire scenes are two of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. Just the thought of licking a dirty tub or having blood in my mouth makes me wanna puke. I was so looking forward to seeing you react to his dancing scene lmao I really like this movie
First time watching your channel and I enjoyed your comments and reactions. Now for comparison you'll need to watch "Something For Everyone" a dark comedy from 1970 (yes boys I'm that old.) It stars a young Michael York and the fabulous Angela Lansbury as a countess with a castle. Michael covets her castle, wealth and status and soon worms his way into and thru her staff, herself, her daughter and....her son! Dear Michael gets his in the end, so to speak. 😜🌈🏳🌈
Have you ever seen The Talented Mr. Ripley??
It's about 14 years from the beginning of the movie to the end....2006 to COVID mask era.
I LOVED this movie. Watched it for the first time last night finally and was smitten. Barry is a treat and such a genius. Also I’m not gonna pretend like I didn’t rewind that ending scene about 4 times
sergio would be amazing at kpop with that facial visuals
Im dying to know what both your star signs are!!
I cant take Sergio and his reactions seriously with that shirt on
This movie screamed the talented Mr Ripley and I was here for it! 🎉🎉
I just need to know where that pumpkin T-shirt is from cos I NEED it 😅
Love your reaction as usual!❤
99% of horror movies barely move the needle for me, but the level of awkwardness and cringe in Saltburn has me on the verge of a nervous breakdown 😭
"i'm a genius. i know math" why is sergio so funny omfg
So distracted by your shirt 😂
omg you guys watched salt burn🤣🤣 wasn't what you expected🤣
Still gives me chills the 2nd time around. 😵
I started our watching this movie obsessed with Jacob but then by the end I’m obsessed with Barry, that little man does things to me 🤣 I’d say he’s more attractive irl than in this
Oliver’s dodgy Liverpudlian accent took a bit of getting used to.
i screamed when it cut to the milk explosion 😭😭
