Winter Travel #1: We went to Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel in Yuzawa, Niigata prefecture, Japan

- We wanted to experience snow so we decided to go to Yuzawa in Niigata prefecture.
Echigo-Yuzawa station is about 70 minutes from Tokyo by bullet train. We purchased the Tokyo Wide Pass to save money and visit other places on Day 2 and 3.
The weather connived and it was the best snow experience we had so far!
We'd like to share these moments with you.

Expenses:
Tokyo Wide Pass: 10,180 Yen (valid for 3 consecutive days).
Bus to and from Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel (510 Yen, one way).
Miso Ramen at Uonuma Ramen: 980 Yen.
Hi, we are planning to go here in middle of Febuary, may I ask how long did you guys spend roughly for whole trip from Echigo-Yuzawa station? And did you have to purchase bus fare in advance or possible to pay on the bus?

We went to Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel first week of Feb 2023.

Pede po ba pumunta ng walang reservation?
Pwede! We didn’t make any reservations. Ang mas importante yung bus schedule papunta at pabalik mula sa Kiyotsu Gorge. The first bus departure was a bit late (mga 11:30 if i remember correctly. Then 4 departures lang in total. So make sure to monitor time closely.

Hello! Yes! Naka-Tokyo Wide Pass po kami. Take note na ang presyo nitong Pass ay nagmahal na, from 10,000 to 15,000 Yen.
Sa Echigo-Yuzawa station po bababa, pagkatapos ay magtetake ng bus papunta sa Kiyotsu Tunnel. Pero mahabang lakaran pa po ito from the bus stop (30-40 minute)
Yung bus din po parang naalala ko, 2-3 departures lang kaya make sure to time your trip na sakto sa pagdating ng last bus pabalik ng Echio-Yuzawa station.

@@user-ty9cs5zc4t Mga 2 kilometers po ang lakaran. So 29 - 40 minutes depende kunggaano kayo kabilis maglakad. Pero sobrang ganda po ng lugar so madalas kayo mapapatigil para magpicture or magvideo! Hehe
