  • The Honda Accord is all new for 2023, featuring a completely redesigned exterior and interior, new hybrid engines, and new technology. A sophisticated new exterior gives way to Honda's new interior design language that first debuted in the Civic, which features a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and 10-inch digital gauge cluster. New drivetrains include two-motor hybrid electric systems.
Accord is a 5-passenger midsize car that is only offered as a 4-door sedan. Competitors include the Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry. A hybrid variant is also available.
Six trims are offered: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring. Two engines are available: A turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 192 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter twin-motor hybrid that produces 204 horsepower. Both engines mate to a continuously variable automatic transmission. Pricing ranges from $28,000 to $40,000.

I have a 2024 Touring in deep blue metallic. It’s very comfortable, peppy, stylish and I get tremendous gas mileage. It’s a bargain in my opinion!

someone said the 11th gen accord looks like the most pre owned new car they've ever seen and I can't unsee it now 🙊

Honda should have included fog lights. At least for the top touring trim.

Beautiful well equipped sedan for the money. I definitely wish it had the option of AWD. Living in the Northeast it is a must.

Love my touring. I wish it had a 360 cam but no big deal. The only issue I have is with Honda Sensing, it just feels laggy. I feel there is a lag between the instance it detects something and then reacts. It works great in slow traffic and open highways but is not great otherwise.

I agree, I noticed the same with mine. I also wish Honda had gone full-on Tesla and allowed hands free driving. I don't care for "Steering required" or whatever the screen shows every 30 seconds or so, especially when it's not required. But I truly enjoy my Accord Touring Hybrid. Gas mileage is great!

The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these deficiencies will be resolved. The ABSOLUTE KILLER is no spare tire. This is unforgiveable.

I really wish Honda would put the smaller wheels on the Touring. Big wheels make no sense on a hybrid (or most cars for that matter). The EX-L which rides on 17 inch wheels gets 5 mpg better in the city and 4 mpg better overall than the Sport and Touring Hybrids on the bigger wheels. That isn't a small difference.

I agree. I got the EX-L for the same reason mainly for the better mpg and $4.5K cheaper.

I don't know if you can answer this question, but the Touring trims have the turn signals extended to the trunk, but all other lower trims are only lit halfway through. Do you know if you can upgrade them to the Touring ones where they extend to the trunk? I have the EX-L and wish to have this on my car. Any information can be helpful.

I'm well aware of that as well. I don't know if Honda ever said they would upgrade those taillights but I hope so. I also hope they reconsider and put turn signal lights in the mirrors for at least one of the sport trims.

Honda made a mistake of sharing the accord 2.0t engine with TLX when that car first came out back in 2021. Now, gone is the 2.0t but it is still in TLX. With that said, they will never share sh-awd with the accord for the same reason as they reserve it exclusively for their tlx which force you to upgrade to that one if you want awd system in a honda/acura sedan car. It is hard already for acura to sell tlx with their competition so they don’t need a product of their own, accord, to compete with awd market.

honda made no mistake, and did their "homework" more than you did. The 2.0T sales wasn't hitting their goal, and the the 1.5T sold more than the 2.0T. Its from a buisness standpoint.

I rented one for 3 days in San Francisco a few weeks ago. I like the car except for two things. One of those things was the body is quite bland now compared to last year's version. The 19-in wheels made the ride unnecessarily rough.

Hey, Tom, thanks for another smasher video on this beautiful and highly efficient vehicle. (I have the 2023 Accord Hybrid-EXL). I think very hot weather--such as the kind you all have in Northwest Louisiana--is also not very favorable for full EVs.

Looks bland. Drives slow. Costs a lot. Bumpy ride. loud noise. Honda killed it.
