TWEE AESTHETIC IS SOOOOO BACK!!! It's so exciting to watch styles evolve, grow, and become refreshed in the name of modernity. Being a teenager in the 2010s was exhilarating because the experimentation of vibes, lifestyles, and subcultures was so prominent. I loved being able to express myself through different fashion lenses, and now "as an adult" I'm able to reminisce and take the positive, good parts out of certain silhouettes, energies, and well... styles! In this vlog, we go over what is "twee" and what does it have to do with Zooey Deschanel? We chat about how the style embodies a certain mysterious and quirky persona, and why we're always mismatched while doing so... We uncover movies that scream hipster twee 2010 core and we do a hipster twee styled clothing haul. I worked kinda hard on trying to piece together a "lookbook" for the intro and middles of this video diary, so I just hope you enjoy it. Omg let me take you on a journey to when I was full on Twee/Hipster back in the day. I was president of the independent film club in high school and went to a coffee shop every day. Wes Anderson & New Girl were my favorite! I have a picture I posted on Lookbook with a bicycle with a basket and I was wearing lace tights, a cute red dress, a blazer and Oxford shoes 😭😭😭😭 the memories are crazy. I had a film camera I would carry too!

Great video! I’ve been really into cottagecore/victorian vintage clothes lately and I see influences of that in twee fashion with the ruffles and edgy but soft colors.
Yes!!! Totally. That makes so much sense :) it’s such a complex but simple style and I love that pulling from different pieces can bring out something else within it… so lovely.
Also my fav clothing style is Victorian!!! It’s so flattering, pretty and just overall timeless. I always feel so “posh” lol🤍
