Marvelous piece... Like the whole album - my favourite album from them.. but on each of the three albums, there are real gems anyway.. This band is a great combination of talents. Crawl has got catchy vocal melodies, virtuosity, unexpected c hanges but they all happen smoothly... some emotion, depth, warmth... Even though I don't especially like the voice of Casey McPherson, he sings well and composes really good melodies... A real synergy between those five outstanding musicians. They deserved to sell hundreds of thousands of this...
We were born under blood built skies Black and blue in the wraith of the night Fear gets forced in our tired eyes Spoon fed war machine As you walk in this alone And you come into your own Stars are fallin' down on you Stars are fallin' down on you And it takes you away Life is tearing up the road In the season of the torch All you people come and look upon The child behind the door That always longs for more Stars are fallin' down on you (Stars are fallin' down on you) Stars are fallin' down on you (Stars are fallin' down on you) Stars are fallin' down on you (Stars are fallin' down on you) And it takes you away You're facing head on into the wind And soon you'll find your way On your knees to begin There's beauty found in the fall We learn to crawl Learn to crawl Born into the gilded cage Tied in ribbons and awards Came upon us deep as frost No one saw but we were warned Never knowing, trapped and torn You're facing head on into the wind And soon you'll find your way On your knees to begin There's beauty found in the fall We learn to crawl Learn to crawl Learn to crawl You with your broken heart There's a rise for your requiem Come down And crawl again And be born Come down And crawl again And be born Stars are fallin' down on you The stars are fallin' down on you It takes you away The higher way is down There is a deeper life that's yet to be found More than what we have known You're facing head on into the wind And soon you'll find your way On your knees to begin There's beauty found in the fall When we learn to crawl Learn to crawl Learn to crawl Learn to crawl Learn to crawl Learn to crawl EDIT: NOW IT'S 100%! Thanks!
his (morse) guitar tone is outstanding and recognizable for over 25 years now....when im listening to "purpendicular" steve`s using the identical soundshape for soli as here on! luv it
Casey's haunting falsetto on this song is awesome....such a great arrangement too! The lyrics are pretty deep too....just overall beautiful work by this band.
Such s great song - in fact the whole album is incredible! It seems this band has managed to reinvent themselves with each album, but kept great quality of sound, composition, musicianship. They remain my number 1 favorite band!!! So incredible!!! Every song just about brings me to tears.
Whenever I listen to new music in the future this will be the yardstick against which I measure it. Absolutely phenomenal band..and those harmony vocals, WOW.
The beginning sounds like Porcupine Tree, and the outro sounds a bit like Gun's n' Roses Movember Rain. That's a great sound with a lot of creativity to blend progressive and classic rock!
Went to see them on Friday night ath the Keswick Theater in PA....... Magnificent Performance; not just the instrumentation but the vocals were exceptional !!!!
Agreed! As soon as i heard this (now) i decided im gonna run to the store and get the Vinyl record. They have the blue one in stock. love color vinyls OMGERD
FC has everything. it has progressive Rock, it has pop, ballads and more. Even when i`m a big fan of progressive I can say that the music is so accesible that almost everyone can listen to and enjoy. And that´s good.
Not really. Ian Thornley is all grit in his vocals. Casey is clear as a bell. Neither is better, just different. Both at the top of my list of talented vocalists.

We had Rush for a long, long time, but fortunately there is Flying Colors, not to replace them, but to enjoy fabulous musicianship.
This album is a true masterpiece.
couldn't agree more! :D
Yeah, I can't get enough of it.
We were born under blood built skies
Black and blue in the wraith of the night
Fear gets forced in our tired eyes
Spoon fed war machine
As you walk in this alone
And you come into your own
Stars are fallin' down on you
Stars are fallin' down on you
And it takes you away
Life is tearing up the road
In the season of the torch
All you people come and look upon
The child behind the door
That always longs for more
Stars are fallin' down on you
(Stars are fallin' down on you)
Stars are fallin' down on you
(Stars are fallin' down on you)
Stars are fallin' down on you
(Stars are fallin' down on you)
And it takes you away
You're facing head on into the wind
And soon you'll find your way
On your knees to begin
There's beauty found in the fall
We learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Born into the gilded cage
Tied in ribbons and awards
Came upon us deep as frost
No one saw but we were warned
Never knowing, trapped and torn
You're facing head on into the wind
And soon you'll find your way
On your knees to begin
There's beauty found in the fall
We learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
You with your broken heart
There's a rise for your requiem
Come down
And crawl again
And be born
Come down
And crawl again
And be born
Stars are fallin' down on you
The stars are fallin' down on you
It takes you away
The higher way is down
There is a deeper life that's yet to be found
More than what we have known
You're facing head on into the wind
And soon you'll find your way
On your knees to begin
There's beauty found in the fall
When we learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
Learn to crawl
EDIT: NOW IT'S 100%!
Thanks!
crack! genio! idolo! Gracias !
@@francotolosa790 I think it says "Come down and crawl again, and be born!"....I'll have to check the lyrics on my cd.
This is one of those songs, that you just need to hear once to know is a true masterpiece. 2019 needed this.
Now that I just find this song, I think 2020 REALLY needs this
The last song of every flying color's album its just epic,
Cosmic Symphony of the last album is one of my favorite songs ever!
Steve Morse shines. 😍😍😍😍 the whole band is awesome. Wonderful. The outro solo is out of scale. Never heard so beautiful lines.

Amazing!! My favourite song of the year. The 5:50 to 7:50 part reminds me to Muse´s Exogenesys Symphony.

Awesome song! Looks like Morse has found new inspiration with these guys. Nothing like the stale stuff with DP.
Everything that Keane wished they were!

the singer sounds like Thornley from BigWreck.

Serán reaggetoneros los que ponen "no me gusta"??? ... INCREÍBLE TEMA!!!
