Great footballer, WC 86 top scorer, FCB decisive, strong, courageous striker/scorer and team player. Gary Lineker is a great character and a wise man when he provides a judgement or an opinion on a player. He is the best when it comes to describe a legend like Messi.

Linekar is one of the few english footballers I have respect for. He didn’t let the game go to his head, he’s been an asset to the game for decades. Other players such as Beckham or even the current crop are so far up their own hoop is embarrassing. Gary Linekar is one of the good ones. Also Scottish.

In my opinion it has been extremely hard for British players to play successfully abroad even after a fantastic previous season in England. Maybe the big difference in the style of the players & the games. I guess even as great as Shearer , Rooney may have struggled in certain ways if they have played outside England. Looked at Ian Rush ,Steve Mcmanaman.. & Robbie Keane . Gary Lineker is the greatest striker of England ..
Nah they just don’t like to play abroad. The level in Abroad isn’t better than in England as in la liga the only teams are top 3 contenders meaning if you join the top 3 and win it’s not as much big deal. In England pretty much every team has a chance to win. Maybe 16/20 this season are contenders to win the epl. In Spain it’s 2/3 out of the (?). If you leave the premier league to another country you’re retiring or just going to a league destined to win which isn’t fun to see.

Plus Europe is much harder than other countries and England wasnt put into certain tournaments like the confederation cups. England has won regionals cups but we don’t consider them major ones even tho they’re better than and harder than Middle Eastern tournaments

Still the best goalscorer England has ever produced. No one had a better instinct for goal. The word genius is often thrown around for players who possess incredible technical skills of the modern age, but Lineker's sense of anticipation for where and when the ball would arrive in the box was its own form of simplified genius.

Lineker me parece un gran delantero inglés, es completo, no tanto como Keegan, pero tiene bastante velocidad y no se como hacía que metía los tiros más difíciles. No era un referente, pero tenía una gran capacidad para golpear el balón muy bien.

Most difficult thing in world football is to score goals, that’s why even normal strikers today who can get you even 12 goals a season they worth like 50-80m… but Gary would make scoring like even my mom can do it… better poacher scorer of all time.
