- What does an ace with Bandit ACOG feel like in 2023? Today I am showing you all an ace from EVERY single season of Rainbow Six Siege so far and it is really interesting to compare one from today vs. what it used to be like back in season 1.. a lot of people forget what before season 1 even looked like and we even have something special from that time period too.

So much nostalgia for the game I fell in love with years ago. Wish night maps were brought back for unranked and casual. A lot of the changes were necessary but I mostly miss the more tactical feel the game used to have
whas not necessary, nightmaps is even more ezz to see enemy, emberise daylight maps was 10x worse, on night maps all enemy have a white glowy outline, also anybody with a 144hz will have zero problems bc there screens can see better in dark maps

Miss the old maps, the bullet holes, dead bodies, lighting, recruit and etc. Hope they can bring some of it back with legacy mode.

watching this video made me realize that i enjoyed playing the game more when it first released than now
if only we can have a TRUE legacy gamemode
Also I liked how year 2 looked. Like how the lights were actually lights and there was darker spots made it look so good. Now everything is just like the gamma is turned up to 1000 lmao

I was just about to write this. that's right, the old graphics looked amazing. The lighting and the dark atmosphere... I loved it.
It looked amazing but it was hell to actually play, you couldn't see anything it was awful.
Well there was also day and night map and if you played you either got day or night. And yeah it looks cool to remember, but it was not fun to play you get killed out of nowhere cause you couldn't even see a guy game was not fair and very uncompetitive and for first person shooter game to go big it needs to have competitive scene.
it looked cool but it was fucking terrible to play, people would just prone in corners and hide and be basically invisible.

This all comes down to character movement, acogs, graphic fidelity in the older seige had more particle affects, and lighting.
I’m happy to have started before operation black ice. This game means a lot to me for so many reasons.
Man, I started playing in 2017 and stopped around 2020 and I still play a game every few months just to see how it is but it's a completely different game. From a technical point of view the game is infinitely better and smoother, but I remember getting online w the boys early in the morning and I would never skip the intro cause it sounded so cool. Nostalgia of White Noise, Chimera and Para Bellum is just too much. I even used to play ESL on xbox, spending a whole afternoon on consulate and coastline. One of the best games that ever existed. Now I mainly play campaign games and I'll hop on cod or fifa for sure from time to time, but it will never compare with old r6. PS my mains were twitch with acog and valkirie

really miss the feel of the older seasons. hell I felt nostalgic just looking at old outback, completely forgot how old border and old chalet looked
Might be a strange take but I think I had the most fun in late Velvet Shell and early Operation Health, them taking away ACOG from Jäger just kinda killed it for me, I know it was broken or whatever, but it was fun, most of my fondest memories are from that time

I had most fun from velvet shell to chimera. I think operation white noise was peak siege. Anything after parabellum is ruining the game.
I mean, I started at Y2S2 (Health), and, I prefer the old Siege, it was a lot more "dark", more realistic, and Ubi wasn't trying to put strange capacities and biography (like OSA, Flores...) and also more skill based
Wdym ops always had biographies..you’re just trying ping them out because they’re lgbtq, which has 0 effect in gameplay lol

3:39 Funny enough that Sens player would have died in the Live Build. He barely survived with 16 health and since Sens is a 3 Speed now that would have resulted in death.

That recruit Shield ace around the 18 minute mark couldn’t have possibly been from Operation BLACK ICE. Before Operation PHANTOM SIGHT shields used to one hit kill you with a melee. However, in that clip the recruit shield player downs several opponents with a melee before shooting them again to finish them off.
I wish they'd make a playlist or an option in custom games that has all the original maps before they were reworked!

Theres an immense amount of quality of life changes that have trickled in with each patch and much as operation health is a meme, people forget how unstable the game was back then. The thing I do note about the year 1 gameplay is how visually its more impressive - the particle and smoke effects from explosions are way more impressive. Stuff like that and the genuinely debilitating effects of Echo and Elas gadgets all got reduced for "player comfort" which is a shame to me. Also there was a time before Operation Health where instead of animated character models in the menus you had really awesome art work. Red Crow and Skull Rain in particular had gorgeous art in all the menu screens
Ubisoft really needs to bring a retro playlist that would bring back all old maps that got reworked alongside Bartlett U
I had forgotten about Bartlett U. We used to play so many custom games Michael Myers on that map because it was perfect for it

I miss the jumpiness of the scope when shooting. It just was THE Siege feeling for me back then.

Also I wish they slowed down aim down side a little bit less, but still they did a pretty good job

I first played the game at my buddies house when Mira and jackal came out, then a couple of months later I bought the game during white noise. I’ve played the game off and on since but it’s still one of my favorite games
You know, taking this trip down memory lane, I actually enjoy all of the changes and stuff that they brought to the game. It just feels refined. There are only three things that I wished Ubisoft didn't change, the recoil in Grim Sky (The bouncy recoil to me just feels nicer idk), the removal of terrorist hunt in Y8S4, and ADS times over the course of multiple seasons.
Honestly, Year 3 was peak Siege. This game is now a shadow of what it used to be.
Crazy how I started playing when it dropped because me and all my friends were hype for the game and I stopped playing in year 2 after op velvet shell and I just recently started playing again and I was sooo shocked at the differences but I still love the game.

I know that Ela was a balancing nightmare and other kinds of a nightmare but I would love to play her as a 3 - speed with impact grenades
She was my favorite OP for a while, easy rotates, compensator on the Scorpion, 3 Speed to flank. She was great.
@@DuncanPlays-There was no BP at that time. We could see Ela in EVERY FXXKING ROUND. She was just unbeatable. 50-round magazine, super high firing rate, low recoil, higher damage, 3 speed, 2 impact grenades and Thunder Mine. Jesus. She was a hell of a joy to play and a nightmare to go against. I love playing Ela but be honest she was so unbalanced.

@@DuncanPlays- God I miss those days when R6S was really on fire. A lot of exceptional stuffs keep popping out, 3 high quality new operators in a single season damn I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t experienced that.

I started in Skull Rain. Crazy how the game used to feel uncompetitive and laid back. I genuinely played the game for fun with friends.

hard to believe been playing this game since I was in 8th grade and now I'm out of high school 3 years It is truly nostalgic looking back on this miss the old meta would rather have to get rid of traps then everyone swinging the dumbest shit possible.
It feels really weird seeing theme park dated so far back in time, I started playing in operation red crow so for me it is canonically "a new map" xD

However, when you go to 8:40 (the ace that was supposed to be from Y5S1, Void Edge) you can see that Oryx gets +5 points for "Proximity Alarm Triggered". Since Proximity Alarms only got added in Y5S2 (Steel Wave), a.k.a one season after Void Edge, that clip cannot possibly be from the season that it is supposed to be from. So we actually didn't get an Ace from Void Edge 🤔😆
How I wish we could go back to Year 5 of siege. The UI specificaly is just so much better than the UI we have now

I feel like if the interior lighting was reverted back the game would look better in its current state.

I still remember my very first ace in R6. My first game in Y1S2 dust line when i buy the game, i use the closter charge and i aced in the begining of the round😅

I miss old siege feels like I can’t even come back to siege because of the insane amount of new shit they just keep pumping into the game.
I miss season one. So fun. TKing your whole team on start with nitro, vote kicks... man. fun.
its crazy how the optics, lighting and gun mechanics and recoil have all changed drastically. the old siege felt so much better and gunfights felt way less random (despite bad hit reg) because gun recoil patterns where predictable and they were actually realistic. its not hard to make a tight grouping at 20 meters with a low caliber smg or a 556 m4. the acog was the best the game died big time when they removed it. things felt faster in terms of ads, gun ready speed etc. it made for more fun entertaining gameplay.

I think seige would be a perfect game if kept how it was now, but with the old lighting brought back. Such a gorgeous game is used to be.
I joined velvet shell and damn do I miss it, Not just the time of having fun on old siege but the maps, the look of the game. Damn we need a classic game mode like others suggested. Even if it was in test servers.

He made me play for him once on herford base with maverick. He had something to do. After that match even though i didnt do good, i instantly asked my mom for $15 because it was on sale as well. And now im a level 180
