I think your intention to fight Max is to give Norris a chance to fight Max for the race win so he may not got the maximum points but it was the safety car gave you a chance.
Yeah, any time I can fight Max and not lose loads of time myself I do it. With a bit of luck it also brings down my lap times by being in his slipstream/DRS. I also noticed when AI fight they lose loads of time, more than in the previous games I feel. So I try to use that to my advantage whenever I can.

Yeah it's strange that I'm playing with full sim damage and he was able to finish the race. But he did get some wing damage, so at least he's penalized a bit for this because it looks like he pitted after the crash.
The 1.3 patch has made the handling a lot less unpredictable for me, and the more I play now the more I'm getting used to it. Even though it still feels a bit weird in the corners, I do like the handling a lot more now. But I have to say I still prefer the F1 23 handling, it worked really well so I don't get why they had to change it so radically after getting it right.
