Correction Joe, 19:49; it’s not the most southern point of Africa. That’s much further away from CT, it’s called Cape Agulhas. Also well worth the drive and visit through stunning countryside.
As a "Cape Townian", it is by far the best looking city I have ever lived by a mile. The mountains, ocean, sunshine and building just culminate in such a harmonious way.
Welcome to our city! Thanks for the promotion! ❤ It may still be relaxed now but please stay away from the Victoria & Alfred waterfront, Seapoint and Campsbay main roads from mid December to mid January if you don't want to get trampled. The whole continent come there during that time. 😞

My wife is from Capetown and I lived there for 3 months. You gotta check out the Cheetah preserve! They do a lot of conservation work, good people; and, I actually got to pet a cheetah!
Oh and if you do go to table mountain be careful of the Dassies, they aren't especially dangerous per say, but I would advise against touching them, they are wild animals and all wild animals, even cute ones, will attack if they feel threatened. They are little fury brown animals that look like a cross between dog and a beaver. They are very brave and will run up to you and steal food right off your plate! Some of the bigger ones will actually try to take your whole plate!
