It's a game mechanic - visible only to you so you remember what you sabotaged. Like dropping poison in a drink - it goes all bubble but that's only visible to you. There are so many things that you can mess with you'll lose track after a while, so the game helps out a little.

The pools water was increased to overflowing, yet ONLY the spot where the target will be standing gets wet and they are the ONLY ones to be electrocuted.
I'm sorry, but no. I know it's a game mechanic, but it should have been an even spread like in real life. And it would be done this way irl because what better way to hide a murder/assassination than to have a group killed by an "accident" than just one targeted person?

I recently notice that people (assassination targets) dies too easily in the new Hitman game (2016 and 2018). I mean sure, some are indeed fatal, no doubt about it... but fell down one story, dead. Burnt a little, dies instantly. Fell into pool, dead. Electrocuted, dies instantly.

I think you don't know what dies it mean to spare sometimes something.
I'm pretty sure you can't spare in this game. That and the entire point of the game is to kill targets, because in hitman surprisingly enough you play as a hitman. And a hitman is someone who is paid to kill individual targets.
