Define "law abiding". Who's law? This country was established by "law breakers", every one of whom would have hanged had we lost the war. Stop trying to qualify a right with labels like "law-abiding", "responsible", etc. Qualifying a right turns it into a privilege, to be granted, modified or revoked at the pleasure of those with power.

@T. Kernie you might as well get an sks or any other rifle that shoots semi automatic in 7.62 since I feel like the ak47 is made for mid ranged full auto combat but making it semi auto just makes it a shorter ranged smaller rifle compared to others.
Because for some reason, Americans can figure out how to manufacture some of the best there is in precision rifles and all manner of carbines and pistols, but can't manage to do the same thing as well as a blind man in a cave in Afghanistan. Hyperbole, but still.
Actually, the truth is is that Century Arms imports the most AK type rifles into the US by a large majority. Possibly upwards of 90% of the firearms market. Century Arms has the capability and knowledge to make an AK rifle, and sell a AK rifle that rivals say, Arsenal. (Arsenal is just the base-line for most AK enthusiasts) However, Century Arms chooses to make cheap and sell cheap. Most gun owners shoot maybe once a month, so a cheaply built AK by CA will never likely show any apparent manuf. flaws. That is why most serious AK guys opt to built kits or go with quality companies like Rifle Dynamics or production guns like Arsenal since they shoot thousands of rounds or 1000 rounds per session.
Just purchased mine own NPAP AK47 about 2 months ago. I love it. I love the elegant simplicity of it. Mine only had one magazine in it, a PMAG. I purchased some metal mags and returned them for 2 PMAGs. The metal ones had locking problems and the rounds would bind in them. The polymer mags are much smoother.
I've got the ras47 and happy with it shoots great and no problems at the moment.I bought mine with the magpul furniture on it and I'm really enjoying it. have fun with your ak bro.
Calling that an AK-47, is like calling every Ford a 1968 Mustang. An AK-47 is a very specific model of the Kalashnikov rifle. A little-known, but interesting fact is that the AK-47 initially was a piece of crap that had to be recalled from service and modified before being reissued.

Nice editing. Hope you enjoy your rifle. I personally would have chosen a arsenal, saiga or vepr over century. But for the average shooter the rifle should serve its purpose.
My AK-47 was made in Czech Republic in early 80's taken from a dead Republican Guard Officer during Operation Desert Storm by US officer and brought back as a trophy from theatre of war. It fires faster than the few AK-s I've seen doesn't get hot as fast as others. Magazine virtually pops itself off when release is pressed. While others seemed to tug there's out a bit. And just a smooth quiet tic when inserting mag. No rattle, scrape, click noises like others make if that makes sense. Its also lighter than the 3 others I've seen. The wood is darker without grain and burnt red/black solid color to it. Was told its odd its czech, not Yugo and was made along side 74's but without doubt a 47.Is it like worth more or cooler or what.

I have an ras47 it's not too bad looks amazing. Finish and wood is good looking but I can tell the bolt is slightly soft. I've only shot it once but it was about 600 rounds in the weekend of camping and it has some slight deformation, I believe I can order a quality foreign carrier and bolt and drop it in. Accuracy wise the ras47 totally defys the stereotype and at 60-80 yards it hangs right with an ar with open sights, I had it at an inch on paper at 50 and can hit cinder blocks at 200 no problem. The casting lines on the gas tube and bolt carrier aren't great but you wouldn't notice from farther than 6 inches away. And I bought it on sale for 499, you won't catch me bashing my purchase, but I'm not going to say it's a top shelf piece. If all its cast parts were replaced with forged machined parts and everything else on the gun was the same it would be one of the best akms around

check out Palmetto State Armory AK's if you don't know about them. That will be my next AK if I ever get another. Right now they are about $750 ( when they have them in stock ) although it would be nice to have a Vepr, how much do they cost now? With that said I have WASR been having it for 7 year's over 4k round's with no problem's, shoot's 3 inch groups at 100 with brown bear. I have a video about it if anyone is interested, I need to remake it. I had a buzz and forgot to mention some stuff lol. I mention the best AK mod IMO
akshooter762 PSA are great, but too new to be considered, in few years i consider as long as they keep up great work. if you get unconverted slant receiver they 699. They sold out but should be imported soon. But K-VAR have fully converted vepr for 999. WASR are ok, not in same quality league as Vepr. They hit or miss.
maksim tsionskiy have you seen the Ak operators Union channel 5000 round test of the PSA AK? if I had the extra cash I would buy it today. I hear a lot of good thing's about PSA. The AR I got from them is great also.
akshooter762 i seen that and I do consider them. But I have 2 vepr 7.62x 39, 5.45x39, 6.5x 39 grendel, vepr 308, vepr 54r, vepr 223, vepr 3006, vepr 12, HK MR556 and HK 761a2 and Remington Versa Max. I don't have much space for more lol
Coming from a guy who owns 4 aks, i wholeheartedly agree, but I am calling this guy an idiot for saying that he bought an ak from a friend illegally. Also, there is no "best rifle" as rifles are constantly being produced around the world. There are many different standards that aks are held to, depending on the company or person who builds the rifle, but if you can find a well-made ak, it will be one of the best rifles you will ever own.
jazzmasta 420 Im from Sweden, and I'm not an idiot for thinking that the AK-47 is the best weapon. That was my suggestion and my feeling, Rest In Pace freedom of speech.
For what I want to do this rifle seems perfect- and the price was good. I think based on what you're saying I should buy more AKs? That's what I heard. :)
That makes no sense. Both are useless without the other. They go hand in hand. I'm a big second amendment supporter. The last thing we need to do is regulate bullets.
This was not a real AK-47 (a machine gun), it's a semi auto variant. The answer to your question depends on the state you live in. You can only buy a machine gun built before the deadline in 1986, nothing newer can be bought by civilians. Other than having a clean criminal background (no domestic abuse, no felonies etc.), it's really just paperwork (fingerprinting at the police station, passport photo, ATF Form 4, form 4473) and about a year of waiting, if it's legal in your state.
you're lucky in WA , here in commifornia you have to wait for freaking 10 days to get your effin firearms after the background check. I'm so effin jealous!!! you made the right choice in picking up an ak variant from century arms, , I also bought my wasr10 from them , no issues or whatsoever. ive been shooting it for more than 5k with no issues at all!!! very reliable rifle!
I was a devoted Ar guy....bought a yugo m70b1 and never looked back! averages 3 moa at 100 meters and will slap steel no problem at 300-400 meters. AK does what it was designed to achieve. Mine was a CAI build with minor canting of sights, but that was it. Enjoy the rifle!
I was really having issues before now and that cause me alot that i also needed to get in touch with some company to work out for it, i was lucky i got a referral of this agent on instagram jamesswart1960 whom help me in the purchase of Ak47 within 48 hours, please you can contact him on IG jamesswart1960 and please thank me later
Another satisfied great American. By the way, I saw some of the comments on here but for the money and what you get with the Century Arms RAS or the c39v2 is an OUTSTANDING gun for the money! Wise choice. Just my thoughts. MAGA!
ranger1721 RAS47 has some problems. Mostly certain parts are not heat treated very well but most are good. Just understand that as with typical century builds, they are hit and miss, even if they didn't build it themselves.
Yeah ar's are much better built and reliable when you're talking buying a new AK in America. Since there's no access to chinese, Russian, or anything decent these days, it's not worth it. You can get a ar 15 built along side the same ar 15s built for the military for a thousand bucks or less, or by a multiple part thrown together by god knows who ak47 for 800$ THAT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK. It's just not worth it, especially for the price aks are. Why the hell is a century arms wasr10 over 700$? You can get a complete bcm upper with bcg that price.
Johndoe3 Johndoe3 you do realize the wasr actually outperforms the DD bcm rifles in longevity and reliability? They have vids of those rifles not even making it that long under hard use. Hell a palmetto armory rifle outdid the big brands. A wasr goes 50k rounds plus proven by battlefield Las Vegas that's worth the price tag alone. Ak is a different breed of rifle and that's what I like. Everyone has a boring ass ar these days. Atleast aks have character and are workhorses
I used to work as an ATF compliance administrator, the NICS check is bypassed in certain states with a valid home state CWL. In those circumstances, the NICS check is not performed.
I'm glad I live in a state that doesn't have the FLL 'call it in'. I just show my permit, fill out the 4473 and plop down the Franklins. Out the door I go.
How do i go about buying a rifle with a stupid minor felony on my record(bought a car which had a missing serial number plate and was operating it,showed proof that i purchased it like that from a dealer that was no longer in business) dont see how that has anything to do with firearms??
In the USA it is 18 years of age to legally own a pistol actually, not 21. You just have to be 21 to buy a pistol from an FFL but you can be gifted one of buy one privately legally at 18. Hell in my state we can even carry concealed at 18.
Just realized I've seen your truck. I remember the topper you have on the back and thought it was a good idea. I work pretty close to the area of the store you were in.
gavintoobe Awesome you'll love it! I solved my problem with my gun with a Krebs Trigger Pin Retaining Plate from midwayusa, see about getting one before you get that new trigger. Only $10

Given that you are new to the AK platform, and the guy you were speaking with didnt seem to provide a whole lot of knowledge regarding them, I thought Id share an brief overview of what I know of the NPAP and Century products... The QC issues referred to were regarding Century manufactured rifles (C39/C39v2 and RAS47). The C39v2 has been significantly improved but still has some flaws. The RAS47 has had multiple documented failures and is potentially unsafe. There have been serious metallurgy issues as well. Rather than own up to this, they pushed shills to defend the reputation of the product, later damaging the reputation of their shills as well (see James Yaeger). Then there's the Century converted rifles, that came in as demilitarized parts kits and rebuilt by Century or Century contractors. These were often garbage in the early days and are still hit or miss depending on who did the rebuilding. Some recent ones, particularly some Hungarian kits have had excellent reviews and appear to be of excellent quality. The NPAP is a new parts make of the Yugo M70 entirely made by Zastava in Serbia and appears to have had a very questionable history when it came to QC as Zastava was making them for Century to fit a price point, not a quality threshold. They do not have the 1.5mm receiver or bulged trunnion as its military predecessors had, nor the grenade launcher capability. The other issue that many have with Yugo/Serbian AKs is their non-standard parts. They were not made to common Soviet specifications and their parts are not interchangeable while many others are. This was often overlooked as the original military M70/A/B/1/2 rifles had some cool features. They used a receiver that was 50% thicker than others (1.5mm vs 1mm) and a bulged/reinforced trunnion, which made it more durable. it also has a gas shutoff valve and flip up sights for a grenade launcher. These factors also helped some buyers overlook the fact that their barrels were not chrome lined either. More recent reviews have been more favorable however and indicate some improvements have been made, however the manufacturing methods used in the Zastava factory are often considered crude. The WASR has a longer but similar history. The Romanian (Cugir factory) WASR was originally made from surplus Romanian AKM parts kits and while the parts themselves were high quality comm-bloc steel, the fit/finish and build quality was sketchy at best and commonly had canted/crooked sight and gas blocks. However since 2014 these have been made from new parts kits and the build quality has improved significantly. These are now often considered the best value on the American AK market, especially since the Saiga's are no longer imported.
Thanks for taking the time to write this up! The more I think about it, the more I need a small collection of AK-variants rather than "just one" :). I'm looking forward to more time with this AK-variant, along with my SKS- which I'm thinking to do a quick "Tapco Build" with (probably just furniture and magazines). Anyways, I'm mostly up for having fun with this project, and am looking forward to reloading!

Rusty Shackleford alot of gun shops have a knock or ring bell policy and they will let you in because sometimes they have been robbed or tried to be robbed and they don't want to take chances.
jdl 68 really dude. If a gun shop gets robbed they just shoot the guy lol
♥️♥️♥️ So excited guys I got full security now. Just received my gun deliver to my address i order from authenticgunsales.com no license needed to order. Much love to them
I lot of people hate on the Century Arms I actually have the RAS 47 and haven’t had any issues in the years I’ve had it.
should have bought Vepr 7.62x 39 much better quality ak
check out Palmetto State Armory AK's if you don't know about them.
I don't have much space for more lol
maksim tsionskiy well damn... haha nice collection.
Make sure to replace the trigger, recoil spring, and furniture
I got an AK-47 too, i bought it from a friend illegal from back in 1999.
Belive me AK-47 is the best gun you can ever find.
are you idiot
jazzmasta 420 ??
Coming from a guy who owns 4 aks, i wholeheartedly agree, but I am calling this guy an idiot for saying that he bought an ak from a friend illegally. Also, there is no "best rifle" as rifles are constantly being produced around the world. There are many different standards that aks are held to, depending on the company or person who builds the rifle, but if you can find a well-made ak, it will be one of the best rifles you will ever own.
jazzmasta 420
Im from Sweden, and I'm not an idiot for thinking that the AK-47 is the best weapon. That was my suggestion and my feeling,
Rest In Pace freedom of speech.
you're both idiots
Ak 47 and price
Where is the AK - 47?
That's a yugo - serbian M - 70 AB2 Zastava Arms.
Not a AK - 47 ;)
Still better than that Draco ak
I hate my State, Florida has put the buying rifles age at 21 now. I wanted to buy a Lee Enfield Mk 4 when I turned 18.
Shop from Johnsonl2019 on snap they good bro just order from them 2 days ago and everything 💯✅
chinese and russians make way better ak47's waste of money Imo
For what I want to do this rifle seems perfect- and the price was good. I think based on what you're saying I should buy more AKs? That's what I heard. :)
gavintoobe That is not what i said they are just cheap, not good build quality but it's easy to try to defend your purchase.
Yes, buy more aks.
MoparJon
Haahhhahha Russians definitely but not so sure about the Chinese lol
Walter Pinkman gaben may I have my ak in fire serpent form??
Can I still get one of these
Yea I got mine last week from MR KALIS he is reliable add him if u need a gun on snap: kaliscanabis
Its not an AK-47, its M70 yugo/serbian zastava but its nice i love it... :)
Ticca. Pticca ❤️❤️👍 Heavy duty I ❤️ the Kalash 👍
Good vid. It's good for people to see how a purchase is actually made. Hope you are enjoying the rifle.
Thanks Rocky- yes, so far so good with the rifle.
Seen your followup. Looks good. Subscribed
We should be able to buy any gun we want such as an ak-47 just do something about the bullets!!!!
That makes no sense. Both are useless without the other. They go hand in hand. I'm a big second amendment supporter. The last thing we need to do is regulate bullets.
I live in new york, what requirements are there to be able to purchase a machine gun? I have a clean background,
This was not a real AK-47 (a machine gun), it's a semi auto variant. The answer to your question depends on the state you live in. You can only buy a machine gun built before the deadline in 1986, nothing newer can be bought by civilians. Other than having a clean criminal background (no domestic abuse, no felonies etc.), it's really just paperwork (fingerprinting at the police station, passport photo, ATF Form 4, form 4473) and about a year of waiting, if it's legal in your state.
not even a real AK-47... dissapointing video
да почти невозможно достать оригинал АК СССР,..это из других стран производства )))
you're lucky in WA , here in commifornia you have to wait for freaking 10 days to get your effin firearms after the background check. I'm so effin jealous!!! you made the right choice in picking up an ak variant from century arms, , I also bought my wasr10 from them , no issues or whatsoever. ive been shooting it for more than 5k with no issues at all!!! very reliable rifle!
I'm from CA (moved in 1980) - don't think I could handle going back :)
Oh no a whole 10 days !!! Oh the humanity.
I knew I recognized those streets. miss Bellevue 😆 sweet AK btw
I likes my yugo m 70
Price
Love the AK.
Me too!
In America you love the AK, in Soviet Russia AK loves you.
Answer this: where can I get one and how much
I was really having issues before now and that cause me alot that i also needed to get in touch with some company to work out for it, i was lucky i got a referral of this agent on instagram jamesswart1960 whom help me in the purchase of Ak47 within 48 hours, please you can contact him on IG jamesswart1960 and please thank me later
Century arms is trash. To anyone reading this, get a WASR-10. All milspec, all made in the same factory. Century manufactures with the lowest bidder
1st of all if you're gonna buy an AK by one from Arsenal that's made in Bulgaria don't buy a century piece of ship
AR's are better no questions asked.
Blanket statements are rarely helpful with no context. :)
lollllllll sure buddy
A real ak is far more reliable than any ar
3:10 LOL the vendor payin' attention on your moves and take his gun with love
Is the rifle full automatic?
Or semi?
Good video. That's pretty much it. I can't believe how many people think you can walk into a gun store and 2 minutes later walk out with an RPG.
Still gotta call in the NICS if you have a concealed-carry permit?
Yes, always a background check in the USA, concealed permit negates requirement for handgun waiting period (at least in WA)
Occupied will not allow the civilian version AKs till they comply to what they called a "Featureless Rifle".
How do i go about buying a rifle with a stupid minor felony on my record(bought a car which had a missing serial number plate and was operating it,showed proof that i purchased it like that from a dealer that was no longer in business) dont see how that has anything to do with firearms??
I am not a legal expert- I would talk to a lawyer!
In Bulgaria is almost impossible to buy AK or other riffle
Whats the price????
What ak is that so I can buy
We had the same idea and similar purchases. I went with the C39v2 myself.
And what stores sell AKs automatic or not
Do you need an ffl for an ak
what is the age limit to own a ak or a pistol?
Depends on what country you live in. In the USA, it's 18 years for rifle, and 21 years for pistol.
In the USA it is 18 years of age to legally own a pistol actually, not 21. You just have to be 21 to buy a pistol from an FFL but you can be gifted one of buy one privately legally at 18. Hell in my state we can even carry concealed at 18.
cool video very helpful for first time buyer
Just realized I've seen your truck. I remember the topper you have on the back and thought it was a good idea. I work pretty close to the area of the store you were in.
That's awesome. It's unique with the SoftTopper on the back...
NPAP was my first AK. Watch your trigger pins they tend to walk on you. Good gun, sold mine to get Arsenal
Good to know: BTW: I'll be installing an ALG AKT trigger soon- will look at pins then. :)
gavintoobe Awesome you'll love it! I solved my problem with my gun with a Krebs Trigger Pin Retaining Plate from midwayusa, see about getting one before you get that new trigger. Only $10
Cool, thanks for the tip!
Yeah I had trouble with the pins walking on my Century AKM too
♥️♥️♥️ So excited guys I got full security now. Just received my gun deliver to my address i order from authenticgunsales.com no license needed to order. Much love to them
Century arms only imports them, it's actually made in a factory in Serbia.
That's right. :)
gavintoobe really omg. I really y
THO they were made in the good US of A.
Century Arms C39 is made in the USA, but most of the guns sold through Century are imported from Serbia, Romania, etc.
Why do they have to call it in at a gun shop but not at an auction or gun show? (I've been kinda confused by that recently)
The FFL dealer calls in too at a gun show, or the FFL dealer you have the gun mailed to if you buy one mail order
I'm an idiot is the one you bought full auto like the standard ak or is full auto illegal?
Semi auto only for us common folk (have to have Type 07 FFL for full auto in most states in USA :) )
The way this video was shot made me think it was some kind of hit-piece on gun owners.
I have couple Ak47 make by Century Arms, I never have any problems with any guns shooting! I bought a c39v2 and ras47 the gun shoot great.
Tried my friend's ar15 and his AK. Not sure which I like more
He said he needed his driver's license, what if you don't have one? Like what if you only have an ID? Would that work?
Hello, I am the Dutch NIck Crompton. I'm wondered how much you paid for the AK47?
Usually they run close to $800 - $1200 USD depending on what kind of AK you’re looking to buy.
