This could be the answer to my prayers. I have been looking for a way to get into a Jeep and this is IT!!!! I can overcome most any problem but I was having a problem with getting a Jeep. I fixed a Harley with a sidecar which is where I put my wheelchair and I rigged a hand shifter. I found a way to do that but a Jeep was difficult. I think I can get the wheels off my chair and put the chair in before I get in which would solve the problem I was worried about getting the chair in a Jeep. I thought I would have to settle for a truck but I think this will work. THANK YOU!!!!
Ridiculous, sir? Because someone in a wheelchair can now take themselves from home, provide their own transportation on the way to work and wouldn't have to worry about some Government-run bureaucracy sending uncaring minimum-paid workers who handle the unfortunate amongst us like bags of potatoes. I'm impressed beyond words at the hard work these people put into making modified vans and trikes. Count your blessings if you are not handicapped. "There but for the Grace of The Almighty go I".
looks wonderful but i'm thinking you would have to have a lot of money to get something like this....If the gov. would like to get taxes from the disable community they would help supple you with the things you need to become a full functioning citizen instead of us having to recreate the wheel all over again so to speak.....WISH LIST :)
I'm already exhausted by the idea how this system works. You're already exhausted before you even turn the key to start the engine. That is rediculous!
Beun007 sorry bud, ridiculous?! with your comment, you must not be in a /been around someone that uses a chair at all.. everything takes extra time being in a chair, this system is amazing N a huge blessing. gets me where I wanna go, I can have a truck, not just a van, small econobox that is a deathtrap in a accident... gimme a truck any day!
This really reduces the wear and tear on shoulders. Excellent idea for those who wish to drive a truck without having to make expensive modifications.
