Volksfest Indersdorf 2024 - Beer Festival in Bavarian Village

It's beer time again in Markt Indersdorf, a very traditional festival takes place here every year at the beginning of May. If you would like to experience Octoberfest atmosphere, but in a smaller and less crowded way it is definitely worth visiting! You can reach the town by taking Sbahn S2 from Munich city center.
According to Bavarian tradition, the festival starts with free beer and a parade of traditionally dressed people representing various free-time activities in the town and nearby villages (so called "Umzug"). Afterwards there is two weeks of celebrations on the festival ground "Festwiese" and in the festival tent with live bands, and of course Bavarian beer and traditional local specialties.
