    Andy what is the minimum license type that Azure Active Direcotory accepts to be able to assign per user and not per assignment in a dynamic group ?

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  Рік тому

      I believe the dynamic groups are available in every plan

      Hi @@AndyMaloneMVP, sSorry for the confusion, I mean the type of membership to choose (assigned, dinamyc user, dinamyc device) in the New Group option. Because in my case I cannot change the assigned membership type. What type of license do I need to enable the other 2 options.

    Hi Andy what is the most versatile group/type of group to use within O365, Azure, PowerBI and Dynamics 365? Ideally, I just want one group of (people) that can be re-used everywhere for access etc.

      Microsoft 365 groups. The one group to rule them all😊

    Hello Andy thanks for your videos. I am looking to create a dynamic distribution group in exchange with membership rules to include about 5 different security groups. Is this possible?

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  2 роки тому

      I suspect not. Group nesting is designed for dynamic security groups and generally you cannot mix the types of groups. Unfortunately it’s a limitation. Now in terms of an exchange distribution list, to be honest I’ve not tried so give it a go I guess. Here is an article that I hope will help, thanks again.techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-entra-azure-ad-blog/create-quot-nested-quot-groups-with-azure-ad-dynamic-groups/ba-p/3118024

    Hi, Thank you , i wanted create a Dynamic groups, but i need exclude some users who are member of some other group. please advice how achieve it

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  2 роки тому

      The only way you can do that it with your condition rules. For example include everyone in London, except sales team. This would require 2 rules

    How do you create a dynamic group, that pulls in all MFA Registered users?

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  3 роки тому

      Oh my if I knew that I'd be a rich man :-D Unfortunately at the moment you can't. There are a few things that you can do and I've included some links. The product group are aware of this and are working on it. So hopefully fingers crossed. Sorry i could not have been more help. github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/issues/59216 and here www.verboon.info/2019/02/retrieving-azure-mfa-registration-status-with-powershell/

    Hi, Thank you for your video, it's absolutely helpful.
    I want to create one for all IT Manager (Department = IT and Title contains Manager) so I can grant them access to a specific SharePoint site.
    Can this be applied on Security Groups that we use to grant access to SharePoint??? (all Org. employees have E3 license)
    Again Thank you!

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  3 роки тому

      Yes you can. Dynamic groups are available in every offering of Microsoft 365. You can create a dynamic group based on department, job role etc. You can even go one further, and extend the IT manager group to become a Microsoft team, if you chose a Microsoft 365 group instead of a security group, actually that would be my recommendation here. Thanks again for visiting, and good luck.

    Hi! I want to create a group that has any user that has a direct report? how do I do that?

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  3 роки тому

      Depends what kind of report? You can get reports in Microsoft 365 Admin center, plus the apps also have their own reporting features. For example Azure AD and Teams.

    • @AndyMaloneMVP
      @AndyMaloneMVP  3 роки тому

      One thought add the group to a reader role, for example compliance or security reader role. members of that group could then run those reports
