great tips. btw when you score the box its easier to use the reverse side of the knife since its less sharp
Thank you for this! 11/11/23 Id love a series for box resizing and shaping. All kinds of weird shapes ect. Thank you I appreciate YOU!
Hi there! I'm a online seller and I have a heavy bulky countertop dishwasher that I need to sell and ship. I have people interested but the shipping cost for this is $130 or more! It weighs 43 lbs. and is 17 x 22x18 . I have big boxes and I have never shipped something this heavy or big yet. I know how to package this but I can not figure out how to get the shipping cheaper for this to sell. I'm having a huge issue and this video and your others I watched are SUPER helpful.! Do you have any tips or secrets that might help me?
The best suggestion I have is try UPS for cost. The is a site called Pirate ship. It's a web site that you can buy shipping labels from and their prices are good. Type it in and look on youtube. There are several videos about it and how to get labels at a better rate.
How do you ship an item like this for cheap? Rates for a 24x24x36 sized box for example. UPS wants $200-$400 for a 13 pound item. If i sell an item for $100 with free shipping, I would be -300. Is there alternatives? Greyhound bus?
That seems very high priced. I guess it determines where you mailing your item to. Also are you selling it on ebay or some other platform, or through your own website? If you sold it on ebay then tou can print a ups shipping table and get a huge seller discount. In another video I show where I mailed a 149lb wheelchair lift in a box that was around 20x20x38 from Texas to California for $75. Ups ships by cubic volume and weight. Let me know a little more about how you sold your it....ebay, poshmark, mercari, Facebook or how. Let me know more an then I could answer your question much better. 👍
@@RKTreasureCenter Thanks for your reply! Quick too. I am in New Jersey and I have an order on ebay going out to in to Indiana. If i enter the dimensions you listed I get Fedex at $106 and UPS at $123. If i do the ones I listed I get UPS at $172. So i guess my question is, To ship items this large do they have to be worth several hundred dollars? I wanted to ship a kids Bigwheel that is the dimensions I gave, It would've sold for about $80-$100 but then it's $172 as the minimum cost for shipping. Id be paying them money lol.
@@RKTreasureCenter Im wondering if they're charging higher rates because its such a dense area. Im within an hour of NYC so there's a lot of movement.
Will it be cheaper to send 2 smaller boxes over 1 larger box ? or vica versa ?
In some cases if they are very heavy, then yes. Otherwise one large box is fine. It also depends which is the best price service. UPS, FEDEX, or USPS. Rarely have I needed to send two small boxes, but I have done it. The downside is if one was to get lost in transit. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
I have a question about eBay so I accidentally never verified my email and phone number when I signed up for eBay now since I decided to cancel my account I can’t verify my email and phone number but I never bought or sold anything on my account so you think I should be fine
If you are not going to buy or sell anything. Then yes you will be fine.
@@RKTreasureCenter so what happens if you never verified your email and phone number
Where do you pick up that bubble wrap ? Thx
👍That's a great question. It's the best and strong Bubble wrap. Here's the link: bit.ly/3dt79sw
Hey so I have a car seat in the oroginal box from Walmart . Can I ship it in that same box?
Absolutely. Just slap a shipping label on it when it sells. Many companies do this.👍
@@RKTreasureCenter so when you are selling a item on eBay do you click which shipping your gonna provide when making the post ? For ex. Ups ground or flat rate freight etc.
@@Walmart2theEXTREME yes I do, but after ot sells you can always change the shipping option. Almost all items I sell is under USPS priorty or the new USPS ground advantage. But when the item sell I may find UPS or FedEx to be a cheaper shipping solution. So when I make the label I will change it at that time. I've never had a buyer question it. They are just happy to get it and on time. 👍
@@RKTreasureCenter wow Ty so much do you print the label at home ? That’s the last question I promise . Ty so much for replying to me .
You can use normal scales and take ur weight down then hold the item and get the increased result.
How much did this cost to ship??
@@RKTreasureCenter wow that’s not bad at all I figured it woulda been way more
I use USPS, They have one charge of $18.00, use your box and up to 70 lbs.
How to pack big packages… He goes and packs a little one… Disliiiiked!!!
Didn't realize you were such a good heavyweight boxer. Good job champ!
