@@liljs4189 The song was written by Jimmie Davis, who also wrote the popular song "You Are My Sunshine." He was also a politician who won the Louisiana Governor's elections in both 1944 and 1960. He died in 2000 at the age of 101. Swaggart's radio program ended around 1978 as he started devoting more time to a television ministry.
