I just got one a few weeks ago and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Very versatile and so easy to use. I love it because I’m single and I can make a huge meal and have leftovers for lunch and dinners later in the week. Love this as much as my Ninja 3-1 Cooking System.
My son and his girlfriend got me one for Father's day in 23 and I went to Barnes and Nobles and ordered the Ninja Foodi XL Pro cookbook for Beginners Accessories. This cookbook has 600 Recipes and cost me just under $35.00 Love it...
Chewy is the best! Salmonella ba humbug! I use to eat raw cookie dough all the time and I lived. That's a nice looking oven, looking forward to future videos and demonstrations of the Ninja! 👍
Yeah for me too! have to appease the Food safety people -lol. Just think our mothers would let up lick the spatula. and. bowl when she was baking-yikes!!! Gonna get comments for this! I'm really liking this oven so far-roasted a chicken and butternut squash, just did chicken thighs and baked potatoes and finally ended the night with brownies-just playing with it to figure out times but so far really great! Thanks The Upside of Downsizing! Your channel name was so familiar-I have watched you before-the Camp chef pizza oven!
Aww thanks Lotus! My facial expressions always give me away and get me into trouble sometimes-lol. Think people need to have fun and enjoy themselves! Thanks Lotus!
Thanks! I think your going to love this oven-I'm still new to it but have been using it everyday for basic things like bagels and toast, bacon, made the chicken with butternut squash, pumpkin bread, and hopefully a carrot cake this week as well as a roast of some kind. Really enjoying it. Thanks MzMarquette!
Lisa, thanks for this video. I’ve been looking for a while now and plan on replacing my Cuisinart with this one. I can’t wait to get my hands on one.❤️❤️
Hi Sandra, Think I'm most excited about this oven out of all the new Ninja appliances. Ninja made great improvements with they new oven. But I'm still new and still working on the 2-tier cooking-to see how that goes. But so far all the basics have been done well in the oven and clean up has been easy so far. Thanks Sandra!
That is a big oven. It’s been getting very good reviews. Perhaps a bit large for my needs, though. Did you see the one that reads bar codes and cooks according to the preloaded program? But you have to buy their food made for that oven. Maybe you have to download update programs through Bluetooth. I just can’t imagine anything more complex.
Hi 7heRedBaron, No I haven't seen that oven-Moving towards the Jetsons-lol. This is a large oven but think I will enjoy it and especially around the holidays when you need an extra oven or summertime when its hot and don't want to use large oven. Thanks!
Thank you! Good to know someone noticed-lol :) Gonna be doing a roast in it today and also using up some cake mixes, cookie mixes just to get a feel for the oven and how it bakes. Thanks Christine!
I bought one of these recently, and have been trying quite a number of things in it. It works pretty well BUT you really can't transfer general 'air fryer' recipes to it. I've tried a number of things, and they all seem to take around TWICE as long as UA-cam videos show in 'basket' type air fryers. For example, UA-cam videos suggest bacon does in around 10-12 minutes in a basket air fryer, whereas it takes around 20 minutes in my Ninja XL, maybe more, if you want it crispy. Likewise, I've found that eggs, french fries, and fried sandwiches all took around twice the time suggested for basket fryers. The recipes specifically for this oven are the best to use, as they should actually be accurate (I've done steaks and salmon so far, with complete success).
No....how could they....I'm gonna need that one too-lol. yes I. am back and ready to. cook! This is going ton turn into a full-time job doing recipes for all. the appliances! Thanks Truth Hurtz!
Hi Kristina, I'm really enjoying the new oven. I noticed when I Brough food downstairs to my father and then came back up my apt.was warmer but I did have the oven and XL Grill going at the same time. But to be honest I. think it puts out a fair amount of heat. When I use it today I will take notice-I'm doing a roast in it today. And I'll find something to air fry -lol. Thanks!
Hi, Lisa, I've been getting withdrawal symptom about you as you haven't posted a video for a while and I was getting a bit worried pop-it! Well, first of all, let me tell you that I could see myself getting one of those ovens just what I need as you can't always get what you want in the Ninja Foodi because of its size. A couple of questions as always what does "Shade" mean and does the oven tell you what shelf to put the grub on? It said about "Level" what's that all about then?
Hi David, The cottages were killing me lol. Had to close them up for the season and oh my so much work-I was too tired to cook-lol. Learned a lot! But I'm back and ready to cook and bake! Think I'm going to love this oven! Shade is for when you are making toast or a bagel-range is 1-7. I did the toast on 7 which was 7 minutes and 21 seconds. The levels refer to you using one tray or two-when I baked the cookies the first batch was level one which it defaults to and it illuminates where to place the rack into 3 in the oven. and when I pressed 2 level it illuminated where to place the racks so for the cookies it was 3 and 1. I know I'm not making sense -lol. It would be easier to show you.
@@pressurecrisp Ahh yes it does make sense so what you are saying is the oven tells you where to place the metal trays in the over for the most efficient heating of the food that's on those metal trays i.e slot 1 or 2 or 3 is that right?
Hello Lisa, I just started watching your videos , they are very informative. I worked in a commercial bakery in the NY metro area. We used and instant read thermometer and the magic number for cakes and cookies, brownies and pies was 200°f internal temperature . I have also found that for meatloaf, baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes 200°f is perfect. Thanks for your time effort in making the videos.
I want one of these so bad. Been looking at it for a while now. I just want to know it will cook cakes. both 9x13 and round cakes as well. Be watching to see if you bake a cake.
Hi Lisa, we got this oven this week and am impressed with it. Haven’t cooked any meats yet. Hoping you can blaze the trail for us with some dishes! Lol
Hi Cindy/ oh I have been blazing- lol. I did a beef roast yesterday and made the chicken and butternut squash recipe in the book- impressed with the oven so far! Thanks Cindy!
Thank you for this video! It is so helpful! I was wondering when you measured 15” depth without handle, did that include the bump out in the back? I’m trying to figure out the footprint on my bakers rack. Thanks for all the info. Hopefully will be purchasing thru your shop.
I use a host of things lol. Dawn power wash, magic eraser, and Stephanie recommended baking soda with Dawn and make a paste-haven't tried it yet ut will this next weekend to clean a few appliances. And I do use a Brillo pad as well. Hope this helps Martha!
Hi Todd, I paid 279 + tax right around 300 a b it. pricey but so far I'm happy with it. Its quite large and heavy so will need permanent spot on counter. Been using it every day-only thing that took longer than the grill or foodi was bacon but you can cook more than what those other appliances can. Baking seems to be the time on the box mixes that I have been making. Toasasst and bagels come out great.
@@pressurecrisp like I said I hit the bbb as is and sometimes i luck out. Got 3 ninja foodi s and 2 grills for less than half price. Hope I can find one of these also at that price. When?
My Breville smart oven air is a little bigger than the Ninja but it has the super convention. Is the seal around the door rubber?
Hi Roland, Not sure if its rubber or silicone but there is a seal. thanks!
Super convection? Which one. Thanks :)
I like the digital air fry basket with the pan under the basket that catches any drippings this oven did away with that.
Does it create a lot of heat outside the unit? How do you like the new oven? Hope to see more demos on other functions like air fry, and roast. Thanks
