I just tried this....it worked. I did have the solid board under the track, but there was a small space so I used floral wire and small screws. Thanks so much
In the background near the end, I happened to see Van Halen's Fair Warning album cover! Good taste in classic 80's rock! LOL! Great Fix it video ! Thanks
Thank you ♥ for this video. Lived here over 10 years and always pay on time. Kitchen drawers have been a problem and the slumlord doesn't want to put any $$ into the house. Will try this tomorrow. I really appreciate this hack.
I did this last night to three drawers in a old wooden dresser. It absolutely works! I ended up using two paper clips per drawers just to add more strength. Thank you SO much!
I have an old dresser that I love and was debating getting rid of because the track was broken and the drawers always fell out, but I tried this trick and it worked like a charm! Thanks so much for this video!
I just used this on an old bottom kitchen drawer, and it worked! So it's not Bob Villa, but it's exactly what this girl needed in order to make life easier for my 80 year old mother. And the cost? Zero! Thank you!
Thank you, i had a metal and wood track and the wood track was damaged so I used what I had and used two zip ties, a paper clip and a staple gun to hang it on. This was perfectly inspired by your video and the best part is that it didn’t cost me anything I didn’t have :)
Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
Thank you! I have had some people get mad because I didn't fix the drawer the "right": way. I'm like, the title says it's a HACK. If you want right way, search Bob Villa LOL. We do hacks because it's fun, sometimes to save money or a part is hard to find, maybe we get a thrill from saving $5 but mostly because we can. :)
@@NashvilleRestoration Or sometimes because we're planning a kitchen remodel and don't want to spend a lot of time or money fixing something that's getting ripped out soon! ;-) Thanks for the hack, of to try it on my silverware drawer.
what a nice small fix for a small item, and so quick and easy. you don't have to pull out 1 tool until you've got the time to install a track if it's worth it. thanks.
If you predrill your holes you won't split your wood and can use a larger nail. Most homes have a drill these days. But I'd really recommend just buying a proper track. You want a fix that is professional and going to last the lifetime of your piece. However, this is a great idea for a quick fix until you can get to the store. Thanks for posting it, was the first time I'd seen this idea.
Yes you are correct. This is a quick fix for those who like to try hacks. A track is more professional option. These ideas come in head and then all the sudden I am making a video. I am intrigued by hacks and my mind never stops thinking about how to build and fix things. There is a video coming of a proper track. :)
Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! I needed this. And after reading some of the suggestions below, my dresser drawers will soon be behaving themselves..Yaaayyy!
I wish I have saw this video a few weeks ago I just threw away my dresser because it did this and bought a new one 🤦🏾♀️ thank you for sharing this I will know for next time
Oh my God I just now saw that! iIt's a Van Halen Fair Warning poster. It is weird/freaky to get that shot. No subliminal/hidden messages intended LOL. It's just rock and roll.
I can’t wait to try this! I’m really glad I found your channel, I’m subscribing and setting the notification so I get your new videos you post! I live in the Nashville area too!
Is the drawer track guide missing? These come in different sizes but this is what I am talking about. www.amazon.com/Prime-Line-Products-7221-Drawer-Glides/dp/B00E8AF23I/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=drawer+track+guide&qid=1590420404&sr=8-3
Putting the actual slides back on is pretty easy (if you have them). Pull out one of the drawers that still has a slide and compare it to the replacement ones available on Amazon. Search for "drawer track guide". I tried to post a link in this reply but it won't let me. The good news is that your dresser still has the boards between the drawers so it is probably still sturdy. :) Putting a new slide on is a couple screws so it is an easy fix. I will post a video of that repair soon, but you will see how to do it once you pull out one of the other drawers. Thank you!
Well I will look forward to that video. My dresser is from the mid 1980's and has survived several military moves. The current slides are plastic so I know they have broken and I need to fix them or replace them and need to replace the hardware too. I want to use the dresser in the guest room and don't want the drawers to fall out on people's feet now. Thanks for the current video.
I have easy fix for this type of drawers you fucking trow it away or give it to charity and go and buy a new one 2019 like come on ... if you cannot aford it that means you need to start thinking what you do with you life ...
I just tried this....it worked. I did have the solid board under the track, but there was a small space so I used floral wire and small screws. Thanks so much
Ha! Excellent hack of the hack!
Great! This made me realize I just wasn't sliding the drawers in properly and that the track guide wasn't on the track. Thanks!
In the background near the end, I happened to see Van Halen's Fair Warning album cover! Good taste in classic 80's rock! LOL! Great Fix it video ! Thanks
Van Halen is one of my favorites! Thank you!

Jerry riggin' at its finest. My kind of lady! I use hair ties to fix everything. So I'm really digging this 'use what you have' method. Smart lady.

Great idea. I'm going to try and figure out how to do it that way. I have lots of those.

YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!! THIS TOTALLY WORKED!
what a nice small fix for a small item, and so quick and easy. you don't have to pull out 1 tool until you've got the time to install a track if it's worth it. thanks.
Great job, but I have two side rails not one center rail. Does this paperclip fashioning work, for that configuration, also? Thank you
You just blessed my furniture rigging soul! New SUB!
I’m watching your video in the hardware store. Great idea, thanks
You're producing exactly what I'm seeking
Maybe the most important thing is that I don't have to be expert at woodcrafts and I can still do it

This woman must save a fortuneeeee
Brilliant! Helps people who can’t just replace firniture easily. Thank you.
Totally worked! Thanks!
Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! I needed this. And after reading some of the suggestions below, my dresser drawers will soon be behaving themselves..Yaaayyy!
You are awesome. Not just this video, but others as well. Thank you.
Thank you Dawn!
You are a genius
Looks great, can't wait to try this
Do you have a hack to fix the ones with a board? Asking for a friend! The friend being me 😅
I think best to order a drawer guide from Amazon. If you have another drawer, you should be able to measure what size it is.
I’m going to the store to get something I’ll be right back!!!
You are so clever... Thanks.
Super practical and easy tech.
I wish I have saw this video a few weeks ago I just threw away my dresser because it did this and bought a new one 🤦🏾♀️ thank you for sharing this I will know for next time
Thank you!
lucky me I have thumb tacs in the drawn im going to try this on :):)
I love the toenails
This was so helpful! Thank you 😄
I got scared at 6:12, that thing 👺to the right freaked me out LOL
Oh my God I just now saw that! iIt's a Van Halen Fair Warning poster. It is weird/freaky to get that shot. No subliminal/hidden messages intended LOL. It's just rock and roll.
Thanks! I realized that it had just unglued from the track!
Omagosh this is perfect!!! Off to work I go!
Do you have any videos for drawers that fall inside?
Do you mean the drawer bottom is falling out or that the drawers in a dresser are falling down on each other?
I can’t wait to try this! I’m really glad I found your channel, I’m subscribing and setting the notification so I get your new videos you post! I live in the Nashville area too!
Awesome! I love Nashville!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ... ❤
What if the drawer never came with a track?
Excellent. Thank you!
My dresser drawers still have the metal track yet they fall exactly as this table drawer does. I can't figure out why or what to do.

New sub. Thanks
Great video. I've fixing the drawer only to chip the wood and things. I wish I came here first.
THANKS much! Just what I needed to know!
That is really cool
thank you
Excellent thank you!
Great suggestions!
my problem is I have no center runner to attach this hack to. Then what?
Ahh thank you! I have a dresser with 4 drawers and they all fall out! LoL
Genius 👍🏼
Thank you .. you help me a lot
Thank you! I am so happy you find me useful. :) I enjoy doing this a lot!
Great! Thanks!!
Well it is a good idea for a quick fix but mine has wood between the drawers on the dresser I own.

Genius
Thank you❤
What about a drawer that the front came off? How to fix?
Hard to say since drawers are made in so many different ways. Screws/nails/glue is the short answer.
What about a kitchen drawer that does that?
Most of the time you can access the track by opening a cabinet door and looking up. Have you tried that?
Sweeet. Thank you!
Love it
Thank you!
Girl...
No. This may work TEMPORARILY or for small items in the drawer, but that's about it.
Not made for longevity.
Yes indeed. That is why the title says "quick temporary fix". Thank you for watching and commenting!
Why would you block the photos with words? Totally useless to me because I need to see!
Awesome
i just realize how dumb i was 💀 i was struggling on putting back the drower and it was just simple to put it back 💀
Been there!
When duct tape won't work! Guess putting new runners on it would be out of the question.
I have a suggestion: Put the words at the bottom of the screen, not in the middle of the action.
Yes it works. Good job. But if you were going to sell this piece wouldn't you be ashamed of the quality of work?
Nobody said do a hack and sell it did they? I'd be ashamed to ask that question.
The writing is too white and its over top of what she is doing. Was better after she showed 2nd fix
the sound is not good I am quite disappointed
Yessssssssssssssss
I have easy fix for this type of drawers
