Saludos Tony y Cecilia, thanks so much for answering my question! I think since we would really like to visit the Andalucía region, we will probably add some additional days to the Spain portion of our trip to try to include Granada in addition to either Madrid or Valencia. You seem to be such a warm and kind person and I wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful Holiday Season and a happy and healthy Año Nuevo!

Loved your recommendation to the couple who want to spend 5 days in Spain as part of their Greece trip. Spend those days in Greece! I always avoid Barcelona even as early as may/june. If you want to spend 5 days in summer limit it to Madrid, which is always crowded. In 2021-2022, I worked in a small beach town in Valencian community. Love it, but Easter was horrible with the tourists. I wasn't there June-August, but it would have been worse. Only problem is that most restaurants are closed the rest of the year and I didn't get to enjoy them all open, but assume, it wouldn't be fun competing with the tourists (mostly all Spaniards). I was a 15 kilometers from Peñíscola, awesome at Christmas time.
Thank you, Ken, we are on the slow travel side of things, never understood the urge to add countries to a trip when the basic conditions (time!) are not met. But we respect everyone's decision, all we can do is give our opinion. Feliz Navidad y Próspero Año Nuevo para ti y tu mujer. Me encantan tus videos. I will be moving back to Spain in the near future on a non-lucrative visa, hopefully soon. My last job was in Spain, and I want to find a permanent home, but still struggling with exactly where. I live in West Hollywood, California and love the big city life, but loved living in a small town; I was in Alcoserbre, it's wonderful, but too small for me. Valencia might be too big. I'll be in Spain shortly as my niece is studying in Granada, and it will be fun to visit smaller non touristy towns that are easily accessible to larger cities. Problem is there are too many options!

I am in the process of planning a trip to Spain for 3 weeks in October of 2025. I know that I will include stays in Madrid, Barcelona & Málaga.
I would also like to visit Seville, Córdoba, Granada & La Rioja but I am unsure of how many days to dedicate to each location and to which spots day trips may suffice? What would you suggest?

G'day from Sydney again Tony! I was just re-watching your Montserrat video, and I thought it would be better if I clarified my original question: I am planning to stay overnight in Montserrat, with plans to visit the Cave of St Ignatius, either in the morning on the way up from BCN (guided Cave tours between 10am-1pm), or in the afternoon on the way down (guided Cave tours between 4pm-7pm), on the way back to BCN. Hello Tony, I will transit at Barcelona Airport in the middle of January and have 20 hrs layover. Do you know where I can put my luggage for few hours at the airport? And Is it enough to get around the city using the metro, bus, etc. just using a Hola travel card for 48 hours?

Hello Toni, thanks for all the wonderful and helpful videos. Love them. Wondering if you can give me advice about Picasso museum. I wanted to go there Saturday may 19th and tried to buy online tickets, but the 19th is sold out already. Anywhere other than official site I can buy tickets? I can buy tickets for Sunday but I am going to Montserrat Sunday, and not sure if I schedule Picasso museum for 18:45, it is possible? Thank you
Hello there, our next Q&A video airs the coming Sunday but as we don't want to keep you waiting for three months for the next Q&A session, we'll give you a reply here. We assume you mean the Picasso museum in Barcelona, as there is also a Picasso museum in Málaga (and we've seen people turning up at the Picasso museum in Barcelona with tickets for the Picasso museum in Málaga!). We don't know of any other site where you can buy tickets for the Picasso museum other than the official one. Try the museum on Sunday. Sunday is the only day when we don't recommend visiting Montserrat, as the choir doesn't perform on Sundays.

I wish I bought Montserrat tickets for Saturday but I arrive in Barcelona morning of Saturday, and I know you mentioned Montserrat is an all day trip, so I didn't think Saturday is a good day. So, what you are proposing is to go to Montserrat Sunday, since I have tickets for Sunday already, leave in time to make it back to Barcelona to visit Picasso museum in Barcelona for 18:45? Thank you
@@themastersathlete to reinforce what we said on our previous reply to you, Sunday is the day when we DO NOT recommend going to Montserrat. But if you've got tickets, then go ahead with it. You should have time for the Picasso museum but play it safe on the way back in terms of timings.

Unfortunately, I arrive late morning on Saturday to Barcelona, and in your Montserrat video you suggested Montserrat is a full day trip, not a half day, so bought tickets for Sunday instead, since I am in Barcelona all day Sunday. I will have to find train schedules still for trip to Montserrat and return to Barcelona. Thank you for your amazing videos. Raffy
