Jake and Zooey have such great chemistry because I truly believe a piece of them has feelings for each other. Not the Zooey and Jake parts of them but the Nick and Jess parts. They've been playing those characters for so long it's a part of them now so the love they have on the show is partly the same love they have for each other in real life.
so I guess it's time to start watching New Girl again if Nick & Jess are getting back together... :P Because seriously after the broke up it felt like a downhill slide

For some reason the writers hate writing Nick/Jess together so if you base this season on the pattern of previous seasons, don't expect anything significant to move their relationship forward until the last episodes of the season.
I read somewhere that Fox said they should do the crossover. Something about ratings of both shows. I want them to be together as well, but maybe on the season finale, so we have them for S7. I think Jess should be single for now.
Marina Simões Pereira Crossover was kind of a bust though. The ratings of both shows were actually lower this week than the previous week. I think crossovers can always come across a little desperate so it's a turnoff to viewers. S7 isn't guaranteed yet so I'm sure that affects what ending they give for Nick/Jess in S6. I want Jess to be single this season too but if you've watched the most recent episode ("Single and Sufficient"), you can see how the writers are putting her in another relationship right away which is kind of a bummer.
