You’re absolutely right about blending, but don’t forget people, most of those IG posts are also using filters. In real life skin still looks like skin, even flawless well blended skin. ;)

Look at your veins. If green - yellow/golden undertone which is warm. If blue/purple- cool undertone. If a mix of blue and green- neutral undertone (for this your foundations will have an olive tint)
