When I was in the Navy, stationed at Treasure Island, CA., 1984, I saw "Big trouble in little China, being filmed in Chinatown, San Francisco, CA. and I saw Kurt Russell come out a building in Chinatown, at the same time, I was coming out a store in Chinatown, San Francisco.
Escape from LA and NYC , Big Trouble, Over Board, The Thing, Captain Ron. These are movies I watched the hell out of as a kid growing up in the late 80s and 90s...but they all did poorly.
Kurt Russell deserves a Lifetime Achievement recognition for a motion pictures career that started in 1963, spanning more than 60 years, what is the Academy waiting for ??? 😠
@@ronbo30 I had to check too...he did the voice of elvis when Forrests mom comes in while hes being taught how to dance. Apparently it ties into Russel and one of his first roles where he kicks Elvis in the shin, in a movie, when Russel was like 6-7 years old.
I thought 'The Thing' would have done much better. And It would seem to me that 'Tombstone' would have been an ATB. It's one of the most popular westerns of all time.
@@misterinadequate3518 As far as the release of 'Tombstone' in 1993, there was quite a crop of movies that were also released that year. Stiff competition at the box office certainly affected expectations.
Big trouble in little china was so underrated

To this day it is still my favorite movie of all time.
Yes I really like Big Trouble in Little China as well. Very underrated movie.

My most memorable Kurt Russell movie are Escape from L.A., Deathproof and Big Trouble in Little China!😊
Escape from LA was a horrible movie.
Captain Ron and. The Best of Times were both really good movies
Totally agree, two of my favorites 😎

Soldier is a masterpiece.
Sad that it's underated and unloved.
I really liked Big Trouble in Little China. It was weird but enjoyable.
Hugely underrated actor with an interesting career. My personal favorites are "Tombstone" and "Miracle."
Stargate and soldier
My personal favorite is Tombstone.
Tombstone was the best movie.
I think The Thing was his best, followed closely by Tombstone
@@BackwoodsFilms both were great movies.
Russell directed the movie, although due to an agreement it is officially credited to George P. Cosmatos.
Wyatt Earp is better than tombstone
And Kurt's best movies are Stargate and soldier
Top actor KURT RUSSELL all is movies the action Sci-Fi thrillers action movies 🍿.all good
I don't remember Kurt Russell in Forrest Gump or Vanillia Sky. Been a while since I watched either of them, so I'm not saying he isn't in them.
He had a cameo playing a young Elvis.
@@RonnieHill-yn4qtseriously that was Russell?

@@zerafians8145 Kurt was born in 1951, he was 12 in 1963 when he debuted in It Happened At The World Fair.
He's the voice of young Elvis Presley but is uncredited according to IMDb film site
Nice video
He was definitely not Forrest Gump.
Yeah, sometimes these videos make stupid mistakes.
He played Elvis in a cameo when Elvis was at Forrest's house
That shouldn't even count, was a very small part and most people didn't know it was him.
He provided the voice for the young guy playing Elvis
I like these videos! Only thing I think is movies like Forrest Gump shouldn't be included, it wasn't really "his" movie.
Cameo role play
Kurt did the voice. Peter Dobson did the physical performance.
Russell provided the voice of Elvis.
Escape from NY and the Thing are only hits? Two of his best!
What do you mean by ATB?
all-time blockbuster, according to google.
The Quick and the Dead?
I thought 'The Thing' would have done much better. And It would seem to me that 'Tombstone' would have been an ATB. It's one of the most popular westerns of all time.
As I remember it, they didn't do that well in the box office but went on to be cult favorites. Now they are both considered classics in their genre.

What does Atb stand for? Rx
All time blockbuster
What about when he played elvis presley
It was a TV movie. It never released in theaters.
The Elvis movie he did. Not 3000 Miles to Graceland.
they made 181 Million Profit in 2006 but only an Semi Hit ?????
apparently the budget was $160 mil, so they only made $20mil after it was all said and done.
ATB?
All time blockbuster
deathproof a really bad movie , he done his best in it , but hateful eight my favourite kurt movie
Death proof was great.
My favourite is Stargate and second is soldier. Which is totally underrated
Kurt Russell in Forrest Gump?
He voiced Elvis Presley. In the scene where Elvis is boarding in the house and he picks up his loose limbed dance moves from young Forrest.
@@donlarocque5157 I didn't know that.
