    Nice video. It is unacceptable though to have as interpreter a person who is saying his own opinion instead of just translating what the instructor says. The teaching is genuine and good the translation though makes it disfigured. Donot let the person assume responsibility which is beyond his ability.

      I agree. You see this all the time. The "interpreter" states the obvious which everyone already picked up by watching the demonstration.

    Every JKA seminar is the same. Teaching a group of black belts basics which they likely already know. Too bad they never go beyond that.

      Sometimes they have to be reminded of the subtleties in doing it right. Believe me, your not through once you hit 1st dan. That's when you really have to start getting it right.

      Basically that's all there is. Like if you've reached 1st dan, you should be able to perform all kata and fluent in most. That doesn't mean you can perform every technique there is without flaw. Those instructors from JKA HQ don't either, just see how Nemoto sensei's kumite matches, and all the others' as well, they always favor a few set of techniques. These seminars are where the sensei explain their knowledge/experience of techniques they have the most knowledge of.

      Gotta agree with u there.. kumite with other ppl that will help in a real fight tbh
