The Council will discuss current legislation that could affect the Council and/or implementation of the Delta Plan,and may take action to express support, opposition, or seek to amend, any of the bills listed in the monthly Legislative report.
Agenda Item 6 - Lead Scientist’s Report (Information Item)
Lead Scientist Dr. John Callaway will report on recent advances in Delta research, the Delta Science Joint Proposal Solicitation Notice, the 2018 National Conference on Ecosystem Restoration and the Bay-Delta Science Conference.
Agenda Item 7 - Delta Independent Science Board Reappointment (Action Item)
The Lead Scientist will ask the Council to reappoint Dr. Steve Brandt to the Delta Independent Science Board.
Agenda Item 8 - Data to Decision-making: Science Governance (Information Item)
As the final panel in the Council’s data to decision-making summer series, the Council will participate in a discussion regarding how collaborative science governance can support decision-making and environmental management.
Agenda Item 9 - Ecosystem Amendment Update - Continuation (Information Item)
Council staff will recap the August Council meeting presentations and continue discussing the Ecosystem Amendment. The Council staff will start this discussion with a subset of draft Chapter 4 policies and recommendations.

Agenda Item 11 - Preparation for Next Council Meeting - Discuss (a) expected agenda items; (b) new work assignments for staff; (c) requests of other agencies; (d) other requests from Council members; and (e) confirm next meeting date.
