Vandolph has an abandonment issue. Even if Dolphy was around when he was growing up, the mere fact that the he has another family after his mom and dad got separated at his very young age, the abandonment was still present in his young mind and I’m sure he saw and heard his mom crying and devastated whenever she she was being cheated on. That’s where the fear of losing someone is coming from. I’d say, because of that experience also why he became a very responsible husband and a father. He doesn’t want, at the back of his mind, his wife to experience what his mom went through and doesn’t want his children to go through the pain he saw and experienced as a young boy. Vandolph is a very lovable person, good looking, popular and he has a well known name not to mention that he has wealth (remember, he’s been earning since he was a toddler from commercials, movies, tv shows and appearances). I’m sure there’s people who tried and maybe still trying to flirt him around. But that isn’t his personality. He’s a tough man to avoid those temptations which was his father’s weakness.
Jen yes you were not a jealous type of a person but do you know that a big part of it is because Vandolph is showing you too much love (that came from you). Vandolph is the one giving you the security by showing his love. You feel secure around him and you are confident because of his faithfulness. Believe me, if you’re spouse is too weak to avoid temptations it’s only then you will know how you would really feel. Just be grateful that you married a very faithful and loving husband like Vandolph. Yung iba tricycle driver na nga lang nambababae pa.
