The secret to learning guitar on a deep level begins by becoming a listener on a deep level.
So true 🙏🏻
best teacher on youtube, straight to the point cant thank you enough
Thank You so much ❤️🎶, new album coming up)
Awesome as always 👏
Thank you :)
The secret is getting a good teacher that can help you with what YOU need.
Voice leading though... It's important, and now only in classical (broadly soeaking) or jazz.
Edit: I play mostly alternative, spacey, sometimes noisy, sometimes ambient rock. I've taken a few jazz lessons and did a couple of jazz self study courses. It was very helpful for my overall playing, doing my own thing.
You course and website is amazing! and this lesson is brilliant
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the course and lessons! If you need anything else, just let me know.
Great stuff, Daniel, a fitting complement to the Galactic Guitar Method. I just completed the Foundations section look forward to the Core Elements chapters. I wish your course was around 10 years ago when I started my UA-cam jazz guitar journey. I would be much further along! Thanks again!
Thank you, I'm so happy to hear about your progress 🙏🏻 everything comes by at the right time. Enjoy Core Elements
That intro! 👏

Great video Daniel ✌️👏💯❤💜🤍💙🖤
Thank you my friend 🙌
Another fantastic video, Daniel. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I'll absolutely vouch for your Galactic Modern Guitar content... it's an absolute treasure trove of guitar knowledge that can take someone from intermediate to master status when paired with patience and dedication. Looking forward to continuing my journey there!
Thanks so much !! p.s just released a new music video from the new album ( check it out let me know what you think in the comments :)
Great. Digging these more advanced tips.
I have a couple of relevant questions please:
When playing over changes, how does that work exactly? For example, if it is Am progression, so A, D and E, when it goes to D, what scale run or arpeggio do I seek out? Do I just target the D note in the Am penta scale or can I play a Dm scale or do I target the triad of D so D, F, A? Do I hunt down those triads and notes? Should I use CAGED? I am just a little confused exactly where I should be going during the changes.
When I play simple blues, it seems the whole scale works but in more technical pieces, when I have targeted the NOTE that happens during the change, it sounds more technical and intentional (less noodly- if that's a word!) I am sure professionals do a combination of all the above based on the piece, the feel, genre, etc. I was just hoping to better understand, in general what most of you find to be a best practice.
Thanks!
That’s a really great lesson Daniel, thanks man !!
The GMG course is the best thing I’ve done for my playing. Just the triad section boosted my creativity, and I’ve been playing for a long time.
Thanks so much !! p.s just released a new music video from the new album ( check it out let me know what you think in the comments :)
Ok, I am hooked. The easy going transition example and explanation groove, all at same time, very beneficial and effective teaching method! Enough in this lesson for a month of exploring inversions and triads, All Over the Fretboard!!
Thank You so much ❤️🎶, new album coming up)
Partitia in A minor is great.🎉 Love playing Little Martha by Duane Allman, I do it in standard tuning key of E. Somethings have to change melodically.🎉
🙏🏻Thanks for being here
I've found it helpful to find all of the chords in a progression in any region of the neck without ever moving up or down more than one fret lets me superimpose and visualize them "on top" of each other.
100%
The classical progressions are timeless and they sound beautiful when you play them. Yes they form a basis which just soumds good.
Thank You :-)
great stuff! thank you for sharing. i am suuuper inspired :)
So glad to hear that 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Awesome lesson and wisdom. Brother are you running flatwound string or round wound ?? Thanks
Thanks for the warm words friend, I use Elexir 011 nano web
What prerequisite knowledge do I need to begin to apply this?
Here's what helped me:
1. general placement of the root chords
2. Knowing the notes in each chord (intervals) by their relative numerals
3. Triads and inversions (so that you can support the voice leading with chords in any place)
4. The diatonic scale from each position
@@BauKim Thank you, legend
thanks for tuning in - I offer the step by step process on weissguitar.com :-)

Hey mate, your work is incredible. Do you do one on one lessons or just go for your online guitar packaged class?
Thank you, friend. there is a 1on1 application on my website weissguitar , which Is currently available exclusively for members ( as we will use the course as part of 1on1 coaching process) would love to have you onboard
@@WeissGuitar Took a look at the website, will check out your program for now considering the price of everything.
I'm not complaining, it's well worth the money I'm sure, but sadly I am on a budget so I will check the galactic course for now!
Feel free to reach out to me if you need any help@@justinn5357

What are you plugged into? I dig the tone!
In this video, random practice amp of a company named kustom :-)
Best PI's are Neural DSP hands down. For a modeler- it's Fractal. I have had all the above. I also just paid $400 for a small 5 watt tube amp, then I bought some pedals. Look at the Trio+ too. It's a ton of fun. It adds base and drums. You simply strum in a few chords, it does the rest. Then you can loop over it. Tip- when playing a backing track, or using a Trio+ use Studio Monitors. The cymbals sound much better with tweeters. For backing tracks only, I use my home stereo. I have a combination of monitors and 4 powered cabinets. I don't play loud- it's just a very high quality, surround sound. I only mentioned all this because you seem to appreciate great tone. My tone rocks hard.
Is there a possibility of just purchasing one part of the course ?
Please Contact me through the website :-)

@@WeissGuitar :thank you , proud to be your student.😌
I need practical stuff that I can use in my rock band.
Practicing voice leading with good timing over your band's tunes is the most practical thing for any rock, jazz, or any other type of band that I can even start imagining. 'Practicality' has many disguises
