First time in my life time hearing LL remix. L is the greatest old skool 80s Lyricist. He along with a few others Big Daddy Kane, Rakim Allah, KRS 1. This Jack The Ripper is now in my rare hits. Thanks for the post.
@@michaelspence5370 I know about the one that I have on wax. That came out in 87 88. The 12 inch single, I've never heard this back in the day. LL is definitely one of and was one of my favorite rappers of all time , now that list is larger and very selective. But that's besides my point. If you have a link to a nother rare remix like this send me the link please
LOL...Yeah, I cleaned up the acapella vocals on L.L.'s "Jack The Ripper" demo tape and then produced a new "1988-styled" instrumental around the vocals. After that, I scratched the hooks and bridge in...Peace.
@@DivineExistenceyou did a great job!! I wish someone would release the rap songs from back in the day that were never released like Nas has done with the lost tapes collection.
Peace, @@do7hemath937 . Thanks...I did remix and refurbish the Nas demo of "It Ain't Hard To Tell" (a.k.a. "Nas Will Prevail). The sound quality on the original demo recording was pretty low-fi, however I was able to clean it up a bit... ua-cam.com/video/avRTRhrtxYI/v-deo.html
I guess back in the day we didn't hear any songs that didn't make the final cut for an album. I remember Prince blessed us with B-side bonuses but im mad AF that songs like this are wasting away in some studios.
Peace...I produced, programmed and arranged the music for this remix. I also performed 100% of the scratching. On the original "Jack The Ripper" demo tape (initially called "Blame It On Me"), LL is rhyming over the same "Ashley's Roachclip" sampled "Jack The Ripper" instrumental that most people are familiar with. The sound quality of the demo wasn't the greatest and the scratching was very basic. For the remix, I was able to separate LL's vocals from the demo and then rebuild a 1988 style of production around him.
@@dreddabarber6315 Peace and thanks...I produced the music and did all of the scratching. Those are all of LL's original vocals from his demo tape. He was originally rhyming over the "Jack The Ripper" instrumental. Obviously, he changed his lyrics later.
@@darnellcooks4932 Nah...no AI was used at all. That's 100% L.L. on the mic. The original demo was recorded in 1987, maybe 1988. The demo tape quality was bad, so I remixed the beat and performed all of the scratches. The scratches on the demo tape weren't too clean...you can probably find it on UA-cam somewhere.
@@darnellcooks4932 LOL...No AI used...just a remix of LL's demo. FYI, LL has a lot of demo songs floating around out there. Thanks for the compliment, though...I've been producing and deejaying since '84.
@@darnellcooks4932 I've actually been holding off on doing Pac and Biggie remixes. 😄Mainly because they've been overdone. I still have a lot of remixes in my vault that I plan on uploading, though.
This has to be one of the dopes LL songs ever.
