The water temperature was quite high, so they are probably in deeper water. Also, I did not see the usual schools of mullet and pinfish on the flats. You are staying in a great fishing area, good luck.
A knot is not going to stop you from catching a fish. I've been thinking about you and glad to see it's the weather and not the back keeping you from fishing. A slam always makes a day on the water even more special I'm sure.
Hey Steve, between the heat and rain I have been hanging around the house. I just can't take heat indexes above 100 just about every day. Inshore fishing hasn't been that great anyway, because of really high water temps. Take care.
