Try to wash your black soil in bucket, then use large sluice box, gold is heavy so it just sticks to the sluice box and the light weight material are wash away.
Isn't the fine shiny powder that was there like iron powder, is that gold powder, and I thought you were going to filter it out with the Aqua Regina you have, but you just throw it away?
