Welcome to the Nine of Swords - The Lord of Despair and Cruelty (Yikes!)
Swords govern the mind, perceptions, how we think, and our inner dialogue.
Three's are associated with endings, which make space for new beginnings. It's a time when we are forced to deal with something difficult. Issues come to a head, forcing us to move (or lurch) forward.
Nine of Swords can represent worry, anxiety, overthinking, excessive self-criticism, and/or bad dreams/having a hard time sleeping.
In a reading, the Nine of Swords can represent issues that are on your mind, your "hangups", doubts, or what brews in the back of your mind and shows up in your sleep/dream state.
Knowing the symbolism and meaning in the cards gives so much more depth and breadth to your knowledge and your readings!
