I'm with you about the pets. If Mattel's gonna give us a pet in every dang thing we buy, I'd much prefer real colors and poses!
I agree however I won’t use it with my dolls but it would just be a cute figure to play with when you want to play cute and animated just saying personally.

I never usually buy play sets, but I'm tempted. I bet you could paint the kitchen pieces. Maybe some primer and then realistic colors? And I also love the minis. Partly the articulation, and partly the face sculpt is just super cute to me.
Toya you should definitely do like a "50:50" Challenge! It's like a pseudo-versus but like you have to make a set/doll room/backdrop but it's made out of 50% out of barbie stuff and 50% of your DIYs. The challenge is how you would make it work!

Barbie has gone to such lengths in the last little while to make their dolls look more realistic and inclusive (the Extra Minis being a bizarre exception to this) that I don't understand why all the animals are suddenly weird and cartoony. The horses and farm animals are the same. I don't need them to be hyper realistic, but the vintage ones at least look like cats/ dogs/ horses etc.
(And I'm in the camp that when you don't like the colour of the accessories, you paint them, too. I like to customise my stuff) 😺🐶💕
Yeah, definitely don't expect them to go hyper-realistic with the pets either. But if they just made the fox orange instead of blue, sparkly and transparent. It would work so much better with the dolls.
The items in the kitchen set (I'm looking at the bread) could be painted with more realistic colors. Honestly, I'm tempted to buy it just for that. I wish the barbie and ken fashion packs you show were available at my local box stores. They never seem to have anything lately. I'm sure it's just supply issues.

For the first backpack, try putting the neck pillow in, then put the camera inside the hole of the pillow, and then the toothbrush...that should fit anywhere. Hope I helped! UwU
The bags for the Barbie Extra accessory picker (whatever you call it) were giving major Disney Princess vibes.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If they can make the "pets" into large huggable plushies (sold separately) instead of tiny choking hazards I would buy them with a smile.
that's a really cute idea. i wonder why they haven't done that. i mean, well, they are apparently really into molded plastic stuff... i never will understand why they think hard plastic makes for a good pillow. but eyah, that's along the same thing... make something soft n cuddly for the dolls instead of hard junk that can choke one kid and do serious injury to bare feet. ~n people think stepping on a lego hurts... those cat eared thingies are a hazard to all bare feet!~

That little animal you thought was a stuffed animal bear, is a lion I think! Look at its tail, its skinny with a small bit of fluff on the end! :D
Did you notice that the last little pet you showed us was wearing high heels? I like the oven set best.
I think the little brown animal is a lion cub because it is a safari accessories pack.

Love the accessories with the kitchen set. All the Barbie fashions are great. I like the jackets from the extra packs but, those pets have got to go.
I will definitely be painting some of the pets when I get these packs. That or they can be treated as toys or stuffed animals or decorations.
I love the baking set, the variety of colors for the tools may make it a little simpler for the kids to locate when misplaced
Love these playsets. They have an amazing details. My favorite one was definitely the baker career playset. The mixer have some great and excellent details there. I really loved the baker career playset. Other favorites are the Jurassic World Fashion Pack, the Barbie Extra Fashion Packs. The Jurassic World Fashion Packs have a little Jurassic World Safari vibe. The Barbie Extra Fashion Packs have a 'Extra' vibes with all the oversized Fashion and pets
Overall, I really loved it. This is a must-have for the Adult, Teen Doll Collectors out there
The banana bread set is really cute! But honestly, I just want the mixer, bread pan, slice and loaf. Lol. Perhaps they will release a small baking pack? That would be awesome!
The kitchen items would look great painted to coordinate.
I would paint the kitchen pieces with maybe model paints such as Testers " made for plastic models". I don't really like the pets myself. I would use either some of the older ones or go with custom needle felted pets for a more real look.

Dwarfism, prosthetics, genetic mutations like vitaligo, wheelchair... We need more representation of other people in the Barbie line, it's not just a girl's toy anymore! ^^
I love the Barbie Extra Minis! So far, they don't seem as overtly sexualized like some other lines - they seem more "cool girl" than music video dancer. It's nice to have more modest options. Nothing against anyone who likes a more sexy look in their dolls, just not my preference for kids.

I think the age group within 5-12 would absolutely love all the bright, colorful items that come with these packs. I know there are collectors that also love lots of color pop. For me, I'll give everything a pass. I enjoy a more realistic approach to my doll world. Thanks for the video!

I love the mins and the Chelsea packs because they have great accessories. The other packs that I will watch for are the ones with the masks. I agree that the Barbie extra packs have cute clothing items (working zipper!) but the accessories for the pets that look so cartoony would be something I wouldn't pay 9.99 for.
The fashion packs are a buy for shure. Those items are just amazing like you toya.
I think if you look closer to the tail of the first pet you will know what kind of animal it is 😉💗💗
