Thank you! We have this exact model. Ours won't let us insert a caddy more than an inch. The little catches on either side of the intake port (just inside of the big wide flap door) catch the caddy corners and block it, so we have to constantly play with the angle to get it past those edges to slide in. Have you run into this issue? I'm thinking of filing down the plastic edges on those catches.
Main issues with these machines are the belts dried up. Auto load RCA were hardest to replace belts without breaking some of the brittle plastic parts. I rebuilt a realistic model from 81. Was a pain but now working
What size belt did you use to replace old one and where can I buy one? I bought my unit at garage sale and it’s missing the belt. Unit powers on and main gear spins but it has no belt.
Informative! I don't think I've ever seen the internal workings of one of those. It might be a good idea to clean off the old grease put some new grease on all of those sliding rails for the loading and playing mechanisms. Did you watch the movie/did the scratches impact it??
Absolutely love your setup and photos man! I’ve been recently wanting to get into improving my vintage bedroom home theater setup. I’m just having difficulty finding the right size crt for my room. I don’t want too small, as I would like to use it as a home theater but still have that vintage look. What are the larger sets you own? Would love to see videos of those!

Scratches didn’t impact it very much, but there was some skipping during the movie.

25” is the biggest CRT I currently have. It’s a good size.
What part was it that you replaced called? Where can I find these bands and parts for this player?
The loading motor started turning the wrong way and broke a piece off the cam gear on the right.
My disc either won't lock in or the entire cover gets stuck inside
So much patience. At this point I throw it against the wall and beat up my dog.
