Very nice presentation. The only minor issues I saw were US Army helmets with swivel loops (late war) instead of early war “fixed loops”. I think the Carolina maneuvers soldier might have been given blue practice grenades instead of yellow, high explosive ones. Also, the US Marine is using a 3rd pattern (later war) “dog eared” canteen cover. Nevertheless, an excellent representation of the variety of uniforms and field equipment.
The 1943 uniform is what US soldiers also wore in Britain too, Those GIs departing from New York City were heading to places like London or anywhere in the UK were training for the D Day invasion.
The Germans had the most but thanks be to God that we USA won the War. If H#$ler won we All probably would be speaking 🗣️ German well, except for me due to race laws I would be murdered...
Pretty good but a few minor issues. Sailor 1941 has a blue dixie cap. This color was only worn towards the later part of the war. Philipine major. In 1941 on the lapels were worn the US insignia right side and branch insignia left side. Rank insignia was worn on epaulets. Changed to your configuration in 1942. 121ST AAA shoulder insignia should not be USAAF. but Western Defense Command. Otherwise very interesting.
It is a bit of a shame the Philippine Scouts (the elite of the colonial Philippine Army in the opening days of the Second World War) were not represented in this video. Yes, Filipinos weren't Americans, but the Philippines was an American colony, therefore this video should have had someone (ideally a Filipino American) dressed up accordingly.
2:22, Coast Artillery Corp insignia, my father was in that in New Guinea 1944 and the Philippines in 1945.....I even had his Tropical Helmet for years after.....
When a high explosive round went off near you, with the chin strap above the chin just the helmet would blow off, below the chin it could take your head with it.
Very nice display of different uniforms at different timeframes of the war. There are a few inaccuracies though, some small and some large. NC Maneuvers/ AAA battalion: - latter style m3a1 gas mask bag 23rd ID Guadalcanal: - late war HBT trousers when they should be the early 1st pattern style - late war helmet with swivel bales and high pressure liner when it should be a fixed bale helmet and hawley liner. - NCO stripe on the back of the helmet. This was mainly an ETO thing and wasn't practiced at all this early in the war, same with the chinstraps behind the helmet. Bougainville Raider: - at this point many raiders had the issued camouflaged helmet covers. - 3rd pattern crossflap canteen cover was a very late war thing and most never made it to the PTO - leggings were ditched almost immediately by marine and the army alike in the pacific as they were hot and kept the feet from drying. With all this being said I'm still impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the video, keep up the good work!
The U.S. Army Officer Philippines - 1941 is wearing his rank insignia on his collar. This standard was not authorized until May 1942. His rank should be on his epaulets and an U.S. insignia on his collar.

I was also surprised by those inaccuracies.
Sailor forgot shaving cream for early morning attack
Yeah I noticed the helmets were all swivel bale. The early war helmets were fixed bale, front seam with the first pattern hawley fiber liners
This is a wonderful resource for war gamers. thanks for posting

Fantastic video again waiting ever so patiently on uniform videos on the Korean War and Vietnam war as well as the gulf wars
Thanks for the denim Fatigues I hardly see anyone making a video on them.
I didn’t know the US still used Doughboy helmets in WW2! The more you know!
Never knew there were so many variations of American WWII uniforms.

3:07 the service uniform with combat gear definitely wasn't practical, but boy did it look sharp!

RIP to all the troops that died at Pearl Harbor
Got every steel pot wrong. Swivel Bails didn't come around until 1943.
Nothing in 1939??? only only our true brothers in arms Canada
I don’t like how the AAA guy moved his head around the rifle when doing the movements
I'm hoping on one of these that they sow what a radio operator is hauling. We still had tube sets in the 70s and they were huge.

When the big red 1 guy stepped in, that was a bad ass moment.

Wow that's great
@8:15~The Bougainville Marine Raider shouldn't have a cross flap canteen cover, otherwise great impression!
Outstanding but show the footwear
should show foot wear for all of the uniform....
They have to get the rest of the kit correct first... 😏
Great presentation
Outstanding!! Another great video from this amazing channel!!
Good video! Perhaps you might add paratroopers, officers in khaki, "pinks & greens" & O.D. #7...naval officers in khaki, WAAFs...Thanks!
Thanks for the comment. There are many more uniforms and videos to come…
45th infantry division's insignia was formerly swastika
3:05 i never understood what the purpose was of that chinstrap above the chin in stead of below the chin. Anyone knows the answer...?

Can you guys please do WWI and WWII German uniforms?
I'm pretty sure this channel is dedicated to US history.
Great presentation. thanks for putting it together.
