Talos' scripts will always have a soft spot in my heart because they really represent a simpler time when scripters were content with merely making a bossfight for fun. Nowadays that only happens if there's a contest going on, and even then people still try to get overly ambitious and suggest themes or make entries that are basically full games in and of itself. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but I do miss when people were content to just make some patterns for a character they like.
Hell, even the fangame scene feels like it's really slowing down. And don't get me started on how much fanworks (mainly fanart) have started to dwindle in terms of those...
It's true... the age of short solo script feels over unfortunately. Most people focus on making full on fangames now, which is great because we got a ton of really great fangames in the past few years, but it's still a bit of a shame. Especially since it was kind of like that already when I got into the community, I wish I could have joined it when solo script making was at it's peak, but I digress ^^' Also doesn't help that using ZUN assets is a lot more looked down on nowdays compared to before, even though small projects like these in any series are usually made by beginners who don't really have a way of producing their own assets.
This is one of my favorite types of Danmakufu scripts. It feels very ZUN style most of the time but every patterns just feels so incredibly smooth thanks to great use of warnings acceleration/deacceleration on bullets. I really wish ZUN tried applying this kind of smoothness to the newer games, because as much as I love how the games look, it kind of feels like they stagnated in visual quality for a long time now while many fanworks go above and beyond to make patterns even prettier. Oh wow Least Connected Marketeer lost the tie... I guess I know what I'll be voting next :)
