It’s all about the marketing funnel. If you can’t implement a good marketing plan, you’ll struggle to sell your babies and you won’t be successful. You can be the greatest breeder out there, but if you suck at marketing, you’re doomed. This is a very tough pill for many new breeders to swallow. Steven knows what he’s talking about.

Gotta be at minimum 25% more than your job to quit or more honestly gotta factor cost of rats regardless of breeding or buying, factor electric going up, buying upgrade animals and the things people don't think about, replacing employer health insurance and paying self employment tax. Definitely takes a good while to build up to a point where you can be profitable let alone quit a job! Great video 👌
Nobody gets rich selling snakes, people get rich chasing their passion, the people that do it for a hobby and think they are a business, is okay, but will never get to the levels you and I hope to achieve, love your animals, love your content, ive started an entire puma line over here myself and I absolutely love them. (even though pumas are "lower end" Im making some world first puma stuff , and thats fine by me :). Thank you for easily digestible content after a long day moving snakes around.

Well you come in this you better know what you're after and you're goal but hobby is different then business I just started back up breeding myself but I am buying nothing but investments quality ball pythons from very reputable breeders
Buying the right snakes from breeders that have the highest expressions of genetics, healthy disease free animals, that are there for you to answer any questions you might have is absolutely the way to go about attaining a level that most will never get to in this hobby! I got back into reptiles in 2021 just after my 50th birthday. I did 1 because they are awesome and 2 I can't trust the government that they will have money for me when I retire 😂. I just want to supplement my retirement income if I can. I just got my 1st clutch March 17 and hopefully every year get a few more. I also figure about 1/3 is expenses so if you bring in $60000 your spending $20000 that's my estimate
Bamboo pied poss HRA poss pastel x black pastel het pied. 7 eggs 1 was bad but I was unable to seperate. 2 more are moldy but holding out hope. Approx. May 11 is due date. I think my pied x OD Pied is about to do her pre lay shed. Exciting.

Its only cost me $5 over 4 years because i only counted one rat for expenses. ;)
