This is seriously awesome... Saved me some time from finding edible glitters and this is cheaper to make than buying it in the store... Thanks for this...
Oh my God. Love these ideas for glitter. Buying the edible kind for my business is so expensive and this is a cheaper way and more economical. Thank you for this. You have a follower for life😍
Wow!! Thank you for the video. I appreciate that you showed us a few ways rather then just one 😊 I love the differences between all of them so you have options on different effects.
Do you think it would work to mix one of the colored gels and the pearling gels in with the sugar to make it shimmer more? I was thinking the same thing as the OP regarding grinding the sugar down to make it a bit finer. It seems like it was the easiest, quickest method at least!

OMG!!! This works so well!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us all!!!🤗❤️ I made sliver glitter using the gelatin method! Instead of acetate I used impression mats( I got that idea from another UA-cam video by sweet wise) Thank you again!
Such a well presented video. Thank you for sharing your skills on edible glitter. Since you asked me, my favorite would be the last version. Have a beautiful day.
Thank you for being so honest in your videos that's one reason I subscribe. I've made the 1st one before but I do like the 3rd way. Smashin coffee grinder you have.
I cannot imagine how you can get 2 "unlikes" at this point! This tutorial is amazing! I live in Brazil and you cannot imagine how expensive and hard to find these glitters here! I'm so happy to know I'll be able to produce my homemade glitters. Thank you so much for this tutorial! Hugs from Brazil!
Wow, I want to try them all. I have to agree with you the gelatin on looks the best and uses less energy to accomplish. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless!
Seaweed can make a good glitter as well, if it's small enough the taste and smell isn't very strong, definitely best in non-sweet treats though. Really good for bath bombs and savory foods though!
Yes the gelatin looks the best from here as well. Thank you for sharing this looks super fun very pretty and I can’t wait to try it! You have another new subscribers!!!
Hi Jen, what an interesting technique for all 3 glitters,I think I'll have to agree with you about the gelatine sprinkles, they look better and did seem like you had the least problems while making it. Love the colours you made.
BAAAAAGH THIS IS SO COOL! For the gelatin one can you swap out luster dust for powdered food color so you're not defeating the purpose of making your own glitter using glitter?
+Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio did you know that you can use paper punches on the gelatin kind after its all dry (probably could with the tylose kind as well). You can do all sorts of shapes and sizes. I like using a small round punch to make edible sequins they look amazing! I just put them onto the cake or whatnot with some piping gel.
I love you so much!!! I had a dream that I met you, and it actually felt so real. But I woke up and it wasn't. But maybe one day!!! Lots of love from Ireland. Yasemin. xxx❤️
I love love love this baking hack. Would love to see pure white versions of these. Wondering if the method would be the same. I'm not familiar with luster dust but will have to find it now.
me and my sister loves your videos and if you know liza koshy she also knows the dollar store and we love your creativity! thanks for sharing your talents!!!
Could you use a paper punch to cut the gelatin sheet or would it crack up? This is so wonderful, can you use royal frosting to make lil decorations to use?
u guys should have a friendly competiton between cupcakes amd cardio, nerdy nummies, my cupcake addiction and how to cake it like u guys could all make your favorite recipie and teach eachother it
Hi Thank you for this tutorial...I was wondering if you could add the pearl liquid to the sugar mixture to add a shimmer? Or the shimmer powders? These may be ridiculous questions. Thank you. Donna
Mind BLOWN! I knew about the sugar, but omg.....you can do what with the other 2?!! Did you just become a master scientist? Those are so briliant and sooooo super handy especially if you are like me and dont have access to the new gliters or are too expensive! 💕💕💕💕💕👐👐👐👐👐
hello loved your video, can you use anything other than acetate sheets? and what if you don't have a coffee grinder will it work with a food processor or a bullet?
2019 Squad!! Haha Why am I just now finding out about edible glitter?! Best part?! HOMEMADE AND EASY AS PIE TO MAKE! :) THANK YOU for making this video! I’m a new subscriber now :)
Could you add some of the pearl sheen to the sugar glitter like you did with the gelatin one? Would that give it more sparkle? The sugar one seemed like it would be the easiest to me, plus it didn't involve luster dust, which I don't like to use because it can get a little pricey.
This is seriously awesome... Saved me some time from finding edible glitters and this is cheaper to make than buying it in the store... Thanks for this...
Subscribing to your videos really helped me.. =D
+Karl Kenneth Meneses So happy to hear you say that! This is exactly why I made the video.
Me too
Oh my God. Love these ideas for glitter. Buying the edible kind for my business is so expensive and this is a cheaper way and more economical. Thank you for this. You have a follower for life😍
I think I would prefer the sugar one because it seems like the easiest one to make. 😍
I agree!
I hate sugar glitter it makes the cake have a very unpleasant crunch
Same haha
.....
Is it
The gum tex one seems to be my favourite as the fine glitter is what appeals to me the most, thank you for all your tips
Awesome video Jenn! I was actually going to try and make some a while back but didn't think it would work! Thanks for all the troubleshooting! xo

The Icing Artist I love your channel!!
I love this video. I love all your videos l have watched.
I am wondering do you ever answer any questions here if some people ask you questions?
This is so cool! l love this. What else do you do videos on? Ohhh! l have so many questions!
Wow!!
Thank you for the video.
I appreciate that you showed us a few ways rather then just one 😊
I love the differences between all of them so you have options on different effects.
I think the gelatin looked the most like glitter. They all look great, depending on the effect you're going for. Thanks for this video!
Not sure if you know this, but you can put the first one in your coffee grinder and make your own luster dust. Will come out very light.
After you color the raw sugar could you put it in the grinder to make them smaller if you wanted smaller pieces or even grind down to dust?
The smaller the piece of sugar is, the less shiny it is which is why I'm using a large granule.
Do you think it would work to mix one of the colored gels and the pearling gels in with the sugar to make it shimmer more? I was thinking the same thing as the OP regarding grinding the sugar down to make it a bit finer. It seems like it was the easiest, quickest method at least!

Did she give the amount of gelatin used?

Wow! Great video again! Good job! You are sooooo close to 2 million! Amazing! I'm speechless!
This is such a great idea! I love glitter on cake knowing that it's edible!
Seaweed can make a good glitter as well, if it's small enough the taste and smell isn't very strong, definitely best in non-sweet treats though. Really good for bath bombs and savory foods though!
And cats love it lol
I would love to make seaweed glitter but cannot find a recipe anywhere do you know how to make it? thanks
New subscriber to your channel, my 5 year old daughter and I watch your videos all the time. Sending many thanks from London for your tutorials!
Great video! Just curious, for the third one can you use carrageenan or agar agar instead? I really hate the taste of regular gelatin.
I've seen agar agar used in a bath bomb for glitter but I am not sure if it is treated the same way as gelatin.
I agree with you Jen the gelatin glitter, because you get more and I think it is the most sparkly
This helps tremendously! Going to try to make the sugar one. Thanks so much!!
I love the gelatin one ❤️ very shiny and pretty. Thank you for sharing
I love this. you have saved me because It's so hard to find edible glitter in the store. I cant wait to look at your other videos thank you 😊

Seeing edible glitter was all I needed to know to subscribe!

Except its not edible. Luster Dust is plastic Glitter. Inedible.
Have you tried flavoring the gelatin glitter with extract or flavor oils and if so does that change the texture?
Love from Norway

Hi Jen, what an interesting technique for all 3 glitters,I think I'll have to agree with you about the gelatine sprinkles, they look better and did seem like you had the least problems while making it. Love the colours you made.
+FitAnge S it was mesmerizing to spread the gelatin on the sheet too....it's the small things in life right?? Lol
For the second one can you use liquid or jell food coloring?
Isabella Project all three use gel coloring. liquid can off balance the recipe or give an off color.
Thanks a lot. I think I will try the sugar in the raw since i have that on hand and will try it for mothers day. Can't wait to try it.
BAAAAAGH THIS IS SO COOL!
For the gelatin one can you swap out luster dust for powdered food color so you're not defeating the purpose of making your own glitter using glitter?
I like the second and third ones. This way I would have a couple varieties. Thanks for such an easy tutorial.
Is it possible to make edible glitter glue? Jenn
Paul Suarez hmmmm.. I’m not sure how that would work! Great idea tho!

Also I've never heard of acetate could you use something else? Thanks so much and I loved the video!
+JenniferDis you can use a hard sheet of plastic...but my Silicone mat and Parchment paper didn't work for me.
Love this channel can u do another giveaway
When we hit 2M we will be!
It’s really amazing . I prefer to use the color with gluten which make it more shine ✨ as I saw 💐
5 years from now I can finally make this.
One year to go buddy

Me too xx my unicorn soul couldn't resist
CirnoDaIceFairy McpeGaming

Haku Atika it literally tastes like nothing
This is so cool!! Thanks for sharing this!
I am new to the baking world. Can you tell me do the last two glitters have taste to them?
rob czar should have watched that before he made the galsxy Apple

Preach
هههههههههههههههه
Omg I just found the video I love the gelatin and gum idea. What would be the shelf life of those 2?
I wonder what she does when she is done baking these cakes
Do you have a print out of the recipe? Awesome tutorial! I learned sooo much!
but luster dust is kind of already edible glitter
luster dust is meant for a shimmer effect rather than glittery :)
ya
Very nice video jenn....I like all of three
I came here cuz I love glitter and I wish I could eat it so this is perfect for me I already bathe In glitter with my clothes on
This is a great video with all the information I need to make my own at home!! Thanks for sharing!
💋💋💋💋💋
Very nice video. I prefer the third one (jelly type) coz it only requires microwave over to heat the mixture.
That spice grinder would me perfect to grind marijuana! :)
What is marijuana?
Oh dear
My kids would have a blast helping with this!
Or just go buy a glitter coz this is too much work -_-
You might as well buy plastic glitter because luster dust is plastic glitter lol.
Esse Siddique Agreed

+Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio Your just a genius 💕💕💕👐👐👐👐
Hi
Hey Jenn, can you use the airbrush colour in normal royal icing along with the gel paste?
hello loved your video, can you use anything other than acetate sheets? and what if you don't have a coffee grinder will it work with a food processor or a bullet?
2019 Squad!! Haha Why am I just now finding out about edible glitter?! Best part?! HOMEMADE AND EASY AS PIE TO MAKE! :) THANK YOU for making this video! I’m a new subscriber now :)
Have you ever tried adding the luster dust to the sugar made glitter? Might make it look more like glitter than sanding sugar

Thankyou. I will try the gelatine today for me looks better❤
You are the best ideas 💡 of all cakes you made
