We missed a turn 1 kill M1G1. If you keep the Saphire you then Street Wraith into Ancestral into Lotus, Thassa's Oracle, Git Probe, gg. Could also Git Probe first to see if it's truly safe to go off now. I messaged this immediately after seeing it (Not sure if mentioned later in the video).
Reid doesn't know what's on top of his deck though. If he blindly cycles and doesn't find his 1 of Ancestral (into Lotus as well no less) then he loses the ability to Vampiric Tutor and cycle to draw what he tutored. I think it's kind of an exaggeration to say that means he missed a turn 1 kill...
@@yawgmoth6568 Doomsday puts any 5 cards on top of your deck in any order you choose. He cycles into Ancestral draws probe, lotus, thassa’s, probe into street wraith then Thassa’s Oracle for lethal. I don’t think I’m missing anything.
eventually that card is going to break out as protection for Thassa's Oracle/Demonic Consultation or Doomsday combo decks right? If I was building 5c stax in CEDH I'd find room for one of those guys just to stop the shenanigens. Oh deck me in response to the trigger? In response Chord of Calling for 1?
I have a doubt about an interaction with daze, lavinia and lotus, in game 1, lavinia been in play could be possible to tap underground sea, cast lotus, return the tapped underground sea to hand with daze countering lotus (both lotus and daze would be countered anyway by lavinia), replay sea, cast ancestral and then cast oracle?
@@bloobybot1512 so make him use the force on the Ancestral, is the best option. Still leaves an opening for Oracle to win unless he has 2nd counter but can’t play around everything. Is it a great situation no but that was probably the only out.
Match 1 game 3 wouldn't a better line be to keep the death's shadow off the preordain and consult for necropotence? Yes, if the necro is in the top 6 you're sad, but otherwise as long as there are at least 3 blue cards below the necro in your deck you have a shadow, 3 forces, and a necro to grow your man and fuel your countermagic. Or alternatively consult for dismember for the deathrite and hope to draw a second blue card before you need the second force? Either of these seem like a much more direct route to a win than the line you took.

I wanted to say the same thing.
I would never bottom that mox.
Doomsday is a really hard deck

My brain hurts. Amazing stuff. Awesome content in a super cool format. Keep it up!
First Death's Shadow on the stack at 1:20:25
2:11:14 They can't Ancestral you in your upkeep because Narset will still only let you draw one card per turn.
I wonder whether Murktide Regent might also be an option for a transformational sideboard. Plays well with FoW, too.
Nice finish game 2 match 1 way to see the line.
VINTAGE DOOMSDAY WITH REID DUKE?!?!? Sign me in o
Lovely.
More Vintage please
Have you thought about running Obstinate Familiar? He's the lizard who hangs out with Grim Lavamancer.

excited for the reupload!
In match 5 couldn't your opponent have cast pyroblast targeting their own narset then ancestral targeting you to mill you out?

You need two lands to cast daze through lavinia

When u had 3 cards would not the narset protext you from the recall on ur upkeep
It’s a wonder he got paired at all given the win-trading going on
That's in leagues. Not challenges.
2:10 you like what member?
Only 360p? 🥲
It takes a little while before UA-cam fully processes the uploaded video into all the resolution options.
