Are the masks really necessary? Are they about jolly ready to “go over the top”?

I personally think that masks add to it. When people play you can see emotions and feelings. Having mask they are muted. Playing amazing but the lack of face. Seems idk wrong? Robotic? Yet who cares, just play the diddy. 🎉
