One time I was getting ready to leave the hospital and showered earlier that morning, and a nurse ran into my room freaking asking if I was okay, I had flooded my bathroom out into the hallway.. In my defense the shower was flat and didnt drain well.. I was busy singing my worship music and I didn't even notice til she came in lol
I had an IV in my hand to get a Remicade infusion and I was just doing my thing and I feel something wet and my IV had kind of went backwards a bit and was leaking and I had bloody Remicade all over my hand. Not too exciting but it happens sometimes. Also when a nurse blows through your vain with the IV and doesn't notice until your hand starts bubbling up from the fluid 😬

I use an insulin pump and one day I was lying on the couch watching t.v. and the tubing as hanging out of my shirt. LOL At some point, I looked down and couldn't understand why I had two tubes instead of one and they were both open . My cat bit through the tubing! LOL
My 4 year old son just got a feeding tube a couple weeks ago.. His doesn't leak. He's doing great and has already gained 8 lbs! He has CF as well. We just had a 19 day stay in the hospital and barely got out before Christmas.
All that snow looked like it was straight off the set of a Disney movie. It was so cute to see how much Ollie loves playing in the snow. I have a Supa Pubic catheter and I've lost count of how many times carers have ended up with my urine on them wen they have helped me with me catheter care and wen changing over collection bags we have forgotten to switch the valve up so there is still pee flowing through. Luckily my carers all have a great sense of humour so they laugh and I don't feel so guilty for "default peeing" on them. I no what you mean Mary about that ache/pain you feel after exercising. I really like it cos in my wee head it shows I've worked hard. I'm a wee bit nervous cos I the morning I'm going back to wheelchair tennis training after our 2 week Christmas break. Love the snow storm Peter. Send some our way out here in Crazyfornia. Ollie looked like Santa with his muzzle all covered in snow. So cute! You did the steak medallions for dindin and I just cooked hubby and a surprise guest tri tip covered in onions with large prawns, broccoli and a nice salad with Dutch crust bread. It turned out soooo yummy! BTW, love your lounge music while cooking and Mary, love the purple vest. My favorite color. I always say if God allowed us to be any color we wanted in heaven, I would want to be a deep rich purple color. It's my jam, man. LOL! Stay warm ya'll.
I just want to say this channel has helped me realise how grateful I am to be so healthy and I know I don't deserve it .Mary is one strong woman I have a nine year old cousin who I babysit a lot she has cf and it's pretty bad if I had not come across this channel I wouldn't know as much about cf as I do now I have been able to help my cousin and her family and she looks up to Mary and peter as she knows a lot about her illness and wants to be so hopeful and happy as Mary and peter are her service dog is still in training but with out your videos we may never had considered a service dog so thank you so much you've changed her and her family's life's for the best she really has learned a lot about her illness from these videos so thank you
hi Mary nice to see you in the snow. The best story I can tell you was when I was pregnant and had to have bed rest for 2weeks I needed to go the toilet, but I had cramp and could not get out of bed because of the baby bump.so the picture is me trying to get up without wetting myself and hurting with the cramp in my leg.needness to say I did not manage to go in time!!!!! Ah I do love seeing different definitions for things. For you guys, a blizzard is what we Icelanders call normal winter weather. 😊 A blizzard here is like 45-64mph winds and snow and you can’t stand or see. 😬 But that’s just life isn’t it 😊
Mimi Hrafnkels I had a trip to Iceland this past October and simply adored it. I lived in Inuvik, in the Canadian Arctic, for years and this trip made me want to move north again❤️. My friends think I’m nuts.
We live down in the south and a blizzard would be a few inches of snow... We just got snow here day before yesterday for the first time in years! It was so magical!! 😊😊😊
To be fair, I live close to them and I wouldn't have called that a blizzard either. Just heavy snowfall. I think they were just being silly/dramatic for fun, not serious. Where they are, they def KNOW what an actual blizzard is like.... where you can't open your front door. Edit: But we are also in a wild arctic storm at the moment, but that's mostly resulting in extreme winds and -30°F temps. So there are some legitimately dramatic things happening even if the snowfall is normal! :)
I know this is old and I’m a dork but I needed to know what actual blizzard conditions were: strong sustained winds of at least 35 miles per hour, lasting for a prolonged period-typically 3 hours or more. So...there ya have it. Random winter trivia.
Mary, the best way to grow lemon from seed is to peel the seed skin off. Put it in a paper towel and wet it a little bit. Fold the paper towel up and put it in a plastic bag. Then put the bag in a warm location like the oven or microwave for a couple of days and it’ll germinate in a couple days. From there then you want to put it into moistened soil 👌🏾❤️ I’ve been meaning to do an update on this. I showed in one of my blogs how to start the process.... now to catch up on your vlogs! ❤️❤️ Love you guys! 💕

You said you were looking for ways to eat mushrooms, a steakhouse I grew up going to had an amazing mushroom dish appetizer. I found out it was quick and easy, and has a really good steakhouse flavor and you can adjust it depending on your preference; cook mushrooms and caramelized onions together, then simmer together with a little beef broth or water, with a dash or three of Worcestershire sauce and a little soy sauce. Start out with small amounts, and add more of less to your preference. Love serving it over steak or prime rib! I’m a huge mushroom fan though, but I think that dish is why I fell in love with mushrooms as a kid! Your dinner made me think of that! Stay warm!
The snow looks so magical. It's been so freezing cold here this winter with minimal snow, which bums be out because I'd love to get outside and go skiing. We are going on like 2 whole weeks of negative temps.

ok, my rheumatic condition can make my veins weak PUT A PIN IN THAT and so I was dying my hair and the hair dye when it prosseses looks like blood, (can you tell where this is going?) anyway when i dye my hair i use the glove as a hair holder so i make a pony tail on the top of my head and roll one of the gloves inside out to hold my dye filled hair off my shoulders, it looks like a hand waving on top of my head full of bloody hair, it drips down my face a little making the look even more ghoulish ok so i finished putting dye on my head, made my pulled it through the glove and jumped into the bathtub figuring after the dye time was done i would stand up remove the glove letting my hair down and rinse the dye off in the shower. But i decided to shave my legs and the water was tinged a little red and i thought some hair dye had fallen into the water, not worried im taking a shower RIGHT/ WRONG so all of a sudden i heard like a high pitched tinkling sound and i looked around and what looked like the red hair dye was spraying onto the shower curtain liner, where could that be coming from i thought, i put my hands up to the glove on top of my head nothing was leaking certainly not spraying so i followed the spray to see where it went as the tub is turning redder n redder and followed the spray down to my ankle. I realized i had nicked my vein and that was my blood i was sitting in a tub of my own blood. I SCREAMED JEEEEFFFFF for my boy friend who ran down the hall panicked, opened the bathroom door to see me sitting in a tub of blood spraying like a fountain naked with what looked like a leaky bloody glove waving at him on the top of my head. HE SCREAMED, and said WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOURSELF? AND like me I started laughing and he ran and got towels and is pressing on my ankle and saying it over and over WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOURSELF? WHAT.... I,m sorry yes I was scared but i could only imagine what he saw when he opened the door , I couldn't stop laughing! #reallife
You need to open the hard seed casing around the actual seed of a lemon. Hopefully you knew that before hand. If not it could take them forever to come out o r not at all. FYI. I learned that the hard way. Also don’t be shocked if it just becomes a mixed citrus tree if the do take. Apparently lemons and orange seeds don’t make the same as what the come from. Bc most are genetically modified.

you guys, on the belgian news, one of the important topics of the day is that there is so much snow in the USA. With that book about the president, there had to be a reporter in front of the Trumph tower, and that man looked hilarious with his huge hat all snowed in from the wait until it was up to him to say his thing. We in Belgium have not seen so much snow in recent years. And I am also a fan of snow like you guys. Fortunately, it has snowed in december for 2 days in Belgium so I've also been able to enjoy it a little. I have recently become paralyzed, so I had to find out whether I got through the snow with my electric wheelchair. The nurse came to get me out of the snow (lol) because I was stuck. I have really bad ibs and it effects my everyday life and I once (warning tmi) plugged my friends toilet because I have not gone in about a week and I sat and cried because I was in pain and didn't know what to do because they had no plunger so I gave her money for a plunger and left crying ):

I get what you mean with exercise, I often think about with my 10 song work out twice a week on Just Dance and the whole idea of being active 60 minutes a day everyday, should I hold myself to the average person's ability. I just create my own amount to be active
Does your feeding smell at all ? I just got mine and it smells like yeast. No infection and clean dressing everyday but still has that smell to it. Also what do you use to clean yours?

A friend's son is in a wheelchair and unresponsive. She put the Christmas tree up and realized there was a squirrel in it. She wheeled him out the door and left it open while she ran to get the neighbor to help. As they got back, the squirrel ran out and jumped up and ran across his lap and pulled out his g-tube! Of course, it was a Friday and of course, it was after office hours. No one in the ED believed her!

Like clearly antibiotics dont fully “fix” the infection your constantly fighting... is that because its just not the right antibiotic or because its viral or something?

My daughters port needle came out of her port just a little and stayed in her chest, while she was sleeping. It leaked under her skin and looked like she had a boob on her shoulder. She was fine but it hurt her for a day or two until it went down.

We have had snow for the first time in 4 years down in South Carolina! It's been so magical! My youngest finally got to see it for the first time! 💙

you guys, on the belgian news, one of the important topics of the day is that there is so much snow in the USA. With that book about the president, there had to be a reporter in front of the Trumph tower, and that man looked hilarious with his huge hat all snowed in from the wait until it was up to him to say his thing.
We in Belgium have not seen so much snow in recent years. And I am also a fan of snow like you guys. Fortunately, it has snowed in december for 2 days in Belgium so I've also been able to enjoy it a little. I have recently become paralyzed, so I had to find out whether I got through the snow with my electric wheelchair. The nurse came to get me out of the snow (lol) because I was stuck. I have really bad ibs and it effects my everyday life and I once (warning tmi) plugged my friends toilet because I have not gone in about a week and I sat and cried because I was in pain and didn't know what to do because they had no plunger so I gave her money for a plunger and left crying ):

I get what you mean with exercise, I often think about with my 10 song work out twice a week on Just Dance and the whole idea of being active 60 minutes a day everyday, should I hold myself to the average person's ability. I just create my own amount to be active

Does your feeding smell at all ? I just got mine and it smells like yeast. No infection and clean dressing everyday but still has that smell to it. Also what do you use to clean yours?

Terri's Thrifty Finds I agree!! I had my first one at 38 and have had two more since. One of those times the prep stuff they gave me was different and I swear I thought I would die!! I literally took my daughter’s fold up round chair in the bathroom so I would be as close as possible! Let’s just say there were lots of tears!

A friend's son is in a wheelchair and unresponsive. She put the Christmas tree up and realized there was a squirrel in it. She wheeled him out the door and left it open while she ran to get the neighbor to help. As they got back, the squirrel ran out and jumped up and ran across his lap and pulled out his g-tube! Of course, it was a Friday and of course, it was after office hours. No one in the ED believed her!

Hey Mary perhaps you can answer this one: are the infections you struggle to get rid of from your lungs just bacterial or are they also viral etc as well? Like clearly antibiotics dont fully “fix” the infection your constantly fighting... is that because its just not the right antibiotic or because its viral or something?

it doesn't go into her stomach so I wouldn't think so. I'm not entirely sure, here's is a j-tube and i have a g-tube and my stomach gets full

My daughters port needle came out of her port just a little and stayed in her chest, while she was sleeping. It leaked under her skin and looked like she had a boob on her shoulder. She was fine but it hurt her for a day or two until it went down.
