Congress criticized PM Modi's remarks on Manipur and questioned if things were normal and why hasn't visited yet. Congress said that PM Modi is trying to deflect from the core issue in Manipur. @@ajithnair3689 How do you want to stop the violence. If stopping violence is that easy, then why can't the previous government stop the violence in Kashmir for these many years.
Give full power and authority to the chief minister and he be made chairman of the unified command. The army, Assam Rifles etc should report to him. If the Centre lacks confidence in him, change him and appoint a new cm. No interference from the Centre. Law and order is a State subject, neither Central nor Concurrent. Undue interference by AR perhaps with tacit instruction from Delhi is one of the reasons why the turmoil lingers on for more than one year. Either give the cm full power or replace him. In case this also fails to bring peace then the president rule under Article 356 is the only solution.
Discussion after discussion for more than one year without any tangible results show the panel is barking up the wrong tree.

The defense forces should never be under a politician as they change their coat according to what suits them. Manipur was under Presidents rule 10 times. If RG and BJP had worked together maybe things would have improved a bit. Instead, one was quiet and the other was soreading poison.
