    I am looking at these for my warehouse. I currently have 400w metal halide that have a 47000 lumen output. LEDS aren't any more efficient but the old fittings are dying so I will have to change.

      I spoke with one of our lighting specialists, Mike, who personally reviewed your requirement!
      LEDs are more efficient than the traditional MH or sodium vapor fixtures it part because they provide directional light just on the space you are lighting up. Also, the light output will hold steady far into the life of the fixture compared to their metal halide counterparts.
      Here is an example of a fixture and wattage (150 watt LED) that we commonly use to replace 400 watt metal halide lights in a warehouse: www.ledlightingsupply.com/commercial-lighting/led-high-bay-lights/150-watt-ufo-led-high-bay-light-22500-lumens-5000k

      My 400W bulbs are 47000 lumens though and have reflectors to direct the light downwards. Some of my bulbs are over 20 years old and run 8 hours a day- I doubt LEDs will come close. There is one big advantage to LEDs of course - instant on. And can be fitted with sensors so I suppose they will save money that way. Roof is pretty high - the lights are about 22' off the ground.

      5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect replacement in gym for the metal halide
      I used 8 of these to replace six metal halide lights in a gymnasium. I think six would have worked just fine, but I wanted to make sure I had good coverage. They are really bright!!! I used the 10v dimmer wire and hooked two lights per dimmer. Dimming was smooth and consistent. If I need to do a project like this again I will definitely buy these lights!

      Hi David! I see our Lighting Specialist, Mike, helped you with this offline. Thanks for your comment about the ceiling mounting brackets! We do have them as a non-listed part we can add to the HBCs.
      Thanks for your interest!

    Any recommendations for a 40x60 pole barn with 16' ceiling? Also how many would you say I'd need?

    • @ledlightingsupply
      @ledlightingsupply  2 роки тому

      Typically, We'd recommend 8 of our 100W HBC UFO High Bays. However, everyone's project is different! From storage space to fine detailing work. We can make a recommendation based on your needs.

    Which one is best for a pole building, used on a farm, for storage and shop purposes, with ceiling height of 20 ft, with a building size of 30x60? Thanks

      Thanks for your question! I spoke with one of our lighting specialists, Joe Hawkins.
      He said: "120 Watt HBC depending on the environment, maybe even 100 Watt HBC." Here are links to the two products he suggested:

      The higher wattages pack a punch! They are a great solution for high ceiling factories and warehouses.

    Any recommendations for which light fixture to use for warehouse/indoor basketball court lighting? I was looking at the last light shown in the video, as well as the light before it. The indoor area was previously a warehouse where they stored car parts & boxes. The lighting is horrible! There's only 10 light fixtures throughout the warehouse. Pretty high up, but not bright enough. We recently changed the bulbs to a higher wattage, but that didn't help. Our warehouse/indoor basketball court is big enough to house 2 side-by-side courts.

      Thanks for your interest! Our Lighting Specialist Mike reviewed your comment: "Adding a higher wattage doesn't always result in better lighting. We would recommend reaching out to us with the length x width x mounting height of the space and we would love to help get the lighting where it needs to be!"

    Thank you for the presentation. I have always wondered how it is possible to cool these types of lights passively, or are you also using active cooling? Would be very interesting to know the running temps of the chips and if it effects the overall lifetime of the LEDs.

    Anything with a decent CRI and CRI R9? Doesn’t have to be too crazy high.

    • @ledlightingsupply
      @ledlightingsupply  2 роки тому

      Thanks for your message! Most of our fixtures are going to come with 80+ CRI rating. This is a combination of R1-R8. Our rating does not include CRI R9, so it really depends on the application. I'd be happy to set up a phone call, and see if we are a good fit for you!
