    The biggest one for me was not having a scarcity mindset and seeing things as an opportunity instead of a loss. The wealthy people I tend to encounter also lift others

    Wealthy people don’t share goals before it’s done because others people’s views can interfere with the manifestation ✨

      exactly

      @mehrhamza63 9 місяців тому +6

      that has happened to me many times. People mostly react negatively to your determined cause.
      I just don't tell people what I am going to do next now, not even my close ones. One of the main reason I do not like telling people is that by tell people, your body gives you fake dopamine. You feel good when you talk about your goals in front of others but after you tell them, your will power and determination can never be the same.

    I think not sharing your goals with a lot of people becomes a thing when your goals are beyond their beliefs. They just tell you it’s not possible which is not helpful. So don’t share cause others will introduce doubt

    Absolutely agree! 💰 Adopting that wealthy mindset can truly open doors. One perspective I've found valuable is how they embrace calculated risks. 🚀

    8:11 What I believe to be reason for secret goals is that despite friends and family wishing you well, having them hear your goals might be an avenue for them to project their own fears. They might have tried the same thing you want to do and project the pain of failure in that thing omitting the fact that times are different and perhaps you'll have an alternate take on the goal. It's not that they're bad but it's a matter of protecting your visions and goals from negativity.

    • @chrisd3637
      @chrisd3637 11 місяців тому +4

      Great comment and for me you hit the nail on the head- just learnt that today. Friends & family mean well, but precisely like you said, they can project their fears and also insecurities onto you. It is hard though having to be vague, as people who don’t have a business mind might get offended why you aren’t telling them (just a pain to deal with).

    • @obscvre
      @obscvre 11 місяців тому +2

      I think the main reason they aren't willing to share or not bothered to share what their goals are is because they don't make a big deal out of it, like they don't even think it's something worth mentioning to other people to begin with, just sharing that piece of information is wasting their valuable time, so why waste time like this when you can just go out and get it done on your own

  • @IsmailTaleb
    @IsmailTaleb 11 місяців тому +9

    Secret goals have a basis in science. You said you don'tk now exactly why it works, science says it's because the mind can't tell the difference between what's real and what's not (oversimplification ofc), so when you tell others your goals, your brain releases dopamine as if you actually accomplished your goals (watch derek sivers "keep your goals to yourself" ted talk), leading you to not actually follow through with them and end up dropping them. That's why it's better to never talk about them and just do them.

  • @wetiot
    @wetiot 11 місяців тому +4

    Wealthy people don't like telling others about their goals until they are about to achieve them. You often find that sharing your goals with others opens the door for them to steal your ideas or interfere with your process of achieving them.

    Congratulations on your early success. I feel very deeply about victim mentality. This is the heaviest stumbling block that may impede a person's progress for decades. The logic is simple: if a person wants to turn to a new page, she/he has to put down the previous page. However, to let go the past is not that easy. Many people think some people become wealthy because they are money-minded. Let me put it this way: they are resources-minded. They care about how their precious resources are allocated. Many people also think that people become wealthy because they are selfish. However, I know some people who possess quite some wealth. What is in common among them is that they are very caring to others and willing to offer a helping hand. This may be contrary to some people who believe that wealthy people become wealthy because they are selfish. They are also, as you said, trustworthy and reliable. That is why, money, a social credit, 'swims' towards them naturally.

    I do agree with the part of optimization with ROI, when I was getting a Mac, people advised me not to add on high features for example, one advised to go for less storage option and in case I need more storage I can buy external 1 TB SSD of Samsung, you can save money blah blah. And for me it was worth spending money to go for 2tb internal SSD cause it saves me from all those extra work of connecting to external SSD and than tranfer, again than disconnect. Because it I even switched to 96 gb unified memory just because I can have more peace of mind. And it's worth it. All the extra few thousand dollars are worth the peace and comfort that comes with it.

We both exercise these and are building our own businesses, for me my main struggle point is finding the right network. I have a few contacts who are on the same wavelength however, I'm still looking for the right people to connect with so that I can get closer to those opportunities to shine and reach my goals.

    Another big wealthy mindset is not getting caught up in the social pressures to buy or do things just to show off or because you are “suppose” to do something.
    Spending time doing things to impress other people is a fool’s errand. Focus on what you want to do and what is best for you.

    When you leave this earth,
    You can't take anything with you,
    Not even a handful of dirt.
    No matter how rich you are,
    Or how much you've amassed,
    You'll leave it all behind,
    And it will be in the past.
    So what's the point of wealth,
    If it can't follow you to death?
    It's better to live a life of love,
    And cherish every breath.

    • @DLeo14
      @DLeo14 9 місяців тому

      It's easier to embrace change when you have more power/control to make decisions, which is something having an abundance of money brings. In contrast, I think lower class people HAVE to be creative or they don't survive, as all it takes is one or two big mistakes for them to lose everything and be out on the street.
      When they screw up, they don't get bailouts, they don't help. So I would argue the working poor have to be more adaptable to change. When bad policies get passed, they're the first ones that have to deal with the consequences.

    Some wealthy people are so tight/penny pinching, and charity doesn't come to them naturally unless they're getting some interest or business out of it. I've met some of them and I'm shocked. I believe wealth has a different definition to different people, which is not necessarily measured by how much money you have.

    For the "secret goals", I don't really know a single reason why you would want to share your goals. Does anyone really care what your goals are? Let's say you waste your time and energy sharing your goals with someone. What do you expect will happen? That someone will praise you for having an interesting plan for your future? You will either get an „um... ok... cool story bro” or that person's opinion why your goal is stupid, risky or both.
