Invariably some well-intentioned str8 people will say, “who cares, it shouldn’t matter!” Except, it DOES. Representation effing MATTERS! I’m a 53yr old gay man who came out at 26 because my white-privileged world had zero examples of gay men who were NOT some Hollywood writer’s stereotypical homosexual man who lisped and wore crazy clothes etc. If I had visibility into the very normal queer people like those in this video, maybe I wouldn’t have wanted to commit suicide multiple times because I was “not like the others” but didn’t know why. Who knows, but I CAN say that if there’s a 14yr old kid who sees the brave example of these folks, and maybe identifies with them, it very well COULD save a life. THAT is why it still very much matters ❤
I can relate. I am in my 50s as well and I still struggle with shame and self hatred that I've been carrying around since childhood. I would love to have had gay roll models to look up to as a teenager. Maybe I wouldn't have stayed in the closet so long and missed out on so much of what my life could have been. I still struggle with that baggage. If you are in a safe space, come out! It is important for queer folks to be visible and unashamed.

Pansexual is when a person attracted to his/her partner mostly regardless of gender
Meaning a person doesn't care if you're a man or a woman, a person still falls in love with you, it's like true love to a pansexual person 😍, an obsession he/she don't care, he/she wants you for him/herself, he/she wanna marry you 💍 and starts a family with you 🤰🤱👨🍼👨👩👦 if he/she is successful enough 💵💰 or not successful enough but still wanna do it 🤵♂️👰♀️❤
I know there are few pansexuals that don't wanna get marry 😅 but they just wanna be with their partners if...their partners accept their ideas, no marriage and no kids too

Why do we have to use the word Queer. Gay is just fine.
Because queer is the label of choice for plenty of people in the community. If you don’t like it, you can ask people not to say it to you, but please don’t tell people not to use it when it’s been reclaimed or they feel it most accurately represents them.
"Queer" is being reclaimed and is an umbrella term used for a variety of people that don't easily fall into the L G B or T
That's why you'll see "LGBTQ" as the community label
If you don't like it, tough.
It's taking back a slur for our own use, removing its power as a slur. Besides, people can call themselves whatever they want. It's a personal choice.

@@SusanOnTheNews yes they do. They absolutely mean the same thing. There are only two sexes, and if you like both, that makes you buy. Buy means both. It's a relatively simple concept. The problem here is the fact that you think the words are not synonymous.

"Bi" refers to majority-appearing Man/Woman - but Pan includes intersex, androgynous, genderfluid, genderqueer, agender and non-binary
@@danielcrafter9349 those things you just mentioned are not a thing. Androgynous people are still men or women. Queer people simply means a member of the gay community, and hermaphrodites still have a dominant sex. Those other words are just pointless. There are only two sexes, male or female. So if you are by, then you like both.
